TEMPE, Ariz. – For the second consecutive season, multiple Sun Devil Lacrosse student-athletes earned a spot on the Zag Sports Division I Academic Honor Roll, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association announced on Wednesday.

Despite being a new program in only its second year in existence making most of their roster ineligible for the Honor Roll, four members of the Sun Devil Lacrosse program still managed to be selected for the national academic honor.

Senior Rachel Gregory finds herself on the honor roll for the second straight season, joining a trio of junior teammates. Attacker Carley Adams, midfielder Mia Harp, and goalkeeper Campbell Poe also were recognized for their hard work in the classroom. The IWLCA honored 501 student-athletes from 99 different institutions on the 2019 IWLCA Zag Sports Division I Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.

In addition to the four student-athletes honored, for the second consecutive year Sun Devil Lacrosse was one of 91 schools at the Division I level to earn Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad distinction. The IWLCA named 303 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Squads for the 2018-19 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the academic year. Arizona State is one of five Academic Honor Squads in the Pac-12.

Majoring in Sustainability, Rachel Gregory graduated from Arizona State in the Spring. This is the second Academic honor for Gregory, as she was also named to the Pac-12 All-Academic First Team. She was also a member of the 2018 Honor Roll. The defender was recognized on Senior Day as one of the first two seniors in program history, helping lay the foundation for a program that continues to build momentum. Gregory played 32 career games at Arizona State, starting 28 while providing toughness and leadership in the locker room. She completed her versatile Sun Devil career with 46 ground balls, 19 caused turnovers, and 40 draw controls.

Coming off receiving Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention distinction in May, Carley Adams adds yet another award thanks to her commitment to excellence off the field. On the field, the attacker played in 16 games this season, starting twice. She contributed five goals, while also collecting eight ground balls and causing two turnovers. Adams enjoyed her best performance of the year in the Sun Devils' victory over Presbyterian, scoring a pair of goals to help lead the way offensively.

Juniors Campbell Poe and Mia Harp join their teammates on the prestigious Honor Roll. Harp made her Sun Devil debut this season, playing in five games after sitting out all of last season due to injury. She got into the scoring column against Stetson, dishing out her first collegiate assist in the 11-3 victory. Poe saw action between the pipes in ASU's road matchup with No. 16 USC. Despite being put in late in the game, she was clearly eady to play, making a save and preventing the Trojans from scoring over the final two minutes.
