The intrasquad meet will provide fans their first opportunity to see the 2018 Gym Devils and is open to the general public free of charge.
Set to follow a standard meet format, the Gym Devils will split to form Maroon and Gold squads.
The Maroon Team will feature senior Nichelle Christopherson, junior Anne Kuhm, junior Justine Callis, sophomore Jessica Ginn, sophomore Mekayla Jones, sophomore Graycee Rushton, freshman Molly McNamara and freshman Cairo Leonard-Baker.
Competing for the Gold Team will be junior Kaitlyn Szafranski, junior Katelyn Lentz, junior Heather Udowtich, junior Corinne Belkoff, junior Morgan Wilson, sophomore Morgan Hart, sophomore Ashley Szafranski, sophomore Averie Brook, freshman Maya Wililams.
In an effort to reduce hunger across ASU's respective campuses, Sun Devil Gymnastics is slated to partner with the Pitchfork Pantry for this year's preseason tune-up. Pitchfork Pantry is a campus food pantry that receives, stores and distributes food to students at ASU who face food instability.
Fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable donations for the Pitchfork Pantry to the meet. Requested items include canned beans, tuna, meats, vegetables, spaghetti sauce, soups and fruits, as well as whole grains (e.g. rice, quinoa), microwavable popcorn, pastas, mashed potato flakes, oats/oatmeal, cold cereals, macaroni & cheese, crackers, water and personal hygiene items.
