It was a #BeatLA day for the @SunDevilMTennis team on Saturday as it now has two singles players and a doubles team in the semifinals after three days at Malibu's 2017 ITA Southwest Regional Championship, held at both the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center and the Crest Tennis Courts through Monday.
It was a great day for the Sun Devils to make a Pac-12 statement Saturday, as both singles players won matches against top-100 USC Trojans.

Benjamin Hannestad knocked off top-seeded and ITA No. 54 Logan Smith of USC 6-4, 6-3 in quarterfinal action, while No. 11 seed Michael Geerts topped third-seeded and No. 82 Jack Jaede of USC 1-6, 6-2, 6-4. Hannestad will now face Arizona's Alejandro Reguant-Bicardi while Geerts will take on eighth-seeded Nicolas Moreno de Alboran of UCSB. Both matches will begin at 12:30 p.m. Hannestad and Tim Ruehl topped UC Irvine's Sebastian Helm and Humberto Lopez 8-4 and now will face Jack Jaede and Tanner Smith of USC at 11 a.m. Sunday.
