TEMPE, Ariz – The Arizona State women's gymnastics team and head coach Jay Santos announced the addition of three new student-athletes to the incoming 2018 roster Friday afternoon.

The Sun Devils will welcome Anne Kuhm (Brumath, France/University of Paris-Dauphine/Elan Gymnique Rouennais), Kaitlyn Szafranski (Orefield, Pa./Louisiana State University/Parkettes) and Maya Williams (Reistertown, Md./United Gymnastix).

"We are so excited to announce these additions to our 2017 class.  The addition of Anne, Kaitlyn and Maya will significantly increase our skill level and depth this year".

The three gymnasts will join Cairo Leonard-Baker (Oakland, Calif./Head Over Heels Gymnastics) and Molly McNamara (Pearland, Texas/Pearland Elite Gymnastics) in the 2017 recruiting class.

Anne Kuhm will join the Sun Devil program with international competition experience. Kuhm, a transfer from the University of Paris-Dauphine, comes to ASU with two years of eligibility and a plethora of notable accomplishments already to her credit. A member of the French national team since 2009, she competed in the 2012 London Olympics for Team France, who finished in 11th place. Kuhm was selected as a reserve for the all-around final. She participated in the 2012 & 2016 Olympic Test Event, helping France qualify a full team to the Olympics on both occasions. Most recently Kuhm was selected as an alternate for France in the 2016 Rio Olympics. She also earned further international experience competing for France at the 2015 World Championships in Glasgow. Kuhm is a two-time French national all-around champion (2011 and 2012). She also finished 2nd at the National Championships on Bars and Floor. In 2011, Kuhm was the French Junior National Champion in the All-Around.

Coach Santos' thoughts on Anne Kuhm joining the incoming recruiting class:
"Anne has had a tremendous amount of success competing Internationally and has been performing at the highest levels of our sport for a long time.  She has experience competing at the World Championships and has been a part of two Olympic Teams. We are beyond thrilled that she is coming to ASU to finish her career. She has beautiful artistry, a high skill level, and we know she will do great things in NCAA gymnastics".

Kaitlyn Szafranski will join the Sun Devil program after spending two seasons at national power LSU. Szafranski was a member of a LSU gymnastics program that finished as the National runner-up the past two seasons. She gained collegiate experience with exhibitions on Vault and Bars during her first two years as a Tiger. She was selected as a member of the 2016 SEC Academic Honor Roll. A two time JO National qualifier, Szafranski was the 2015 JO National Bars Champion. She dominated at the 2014 Pennsylvania State Championship, winning the title on bars, floor and the all-around. Szafranski also placed second at the 2014 State Championship on vault and beam.  She would go on to earn a second-place finish on bars, third on floor and fifth on vault at the 2015 Pennsylvania State Championships. Finished her club career at Parkettes as a level 10 gymnast. Kaitlyn is the sister of current Sun Devil gymnast Ashley Szafranski.

Coach Santos' thoughts on Kaitlyn Szafranski joining the incoming recruiting class:
"Kaitlyn is coming to us from LSU; and was a part of a team that finished Second at the NCAA Gymnastics Championships two years in a row. She has big goals for herself and we are excited for her to bring a competitive mindset to our team. She brings a history of Junior Olympic success with her which will help elevate our team.  She is hungry to get out there and compete and we anticipate her making a huge impact on our program."

Maya Williams will join the Sun Devils' roster as a freshman walk-on. Williams competes for the country of Jamaica on the international circuit. She represented Jamaica in the 2015 World Championships in Glasgow, where she competed on Beam. She has competed level 10 for United Gymnastix out of Maryland for five years. Her sister, Toni-Ann Williams, is a member of the California Golden Bears gymnastics program.

Coach Santos' thoughts on Maya Williams joining the incoming recruiting class:
"Maya has international experience competing at the World Championships and will help add to our depth this year. With the completion of our 2017-2018 roster, we fully believe all of our newcomers will continue to help to raise the level of our program in 2018 and make us more competitive on a National level."
