TEMPE -- The Sun Devils kick off a lengthy home stand beginning Tuesday, Feb. 28 against New Mexico State at Phoenix Municipal Stadium, the first of 12 home games in a 19-day span into the month of March. The Devils have not played 11 games in the month of march before March 20 since the 2013 season. Tuesday's mid-week contest will get underway at 6:30 p.m. and will be streamed live through the Pac-12 Network Digital Stream.

#10THINGS (Twitter-Friendly Notes)

1. 14 of ASU's 25 total RBIs in the 2017 season have come with two outs, led by Lyle Lin/Carter Aldrere's three each.

2. 10 true freshmen made their Sun Devil Debuts in the opening week, including six that made their first career starts.

3. .@ASU_Baseball is batting .285 as a team but has upped that average to .318 (28-of-88) when facing two outs. .

4. Tyler Williams is the only Sun Devil with multiple hits this season, notable as he had none in all of 2016.

5. ASU is 33-2 all-time against @NMStateBaseball and has not lost to the program since the 2002 season.

6. .@elingos15 has two quality starts in his two starts, allowing just two earned runs and a W over #1 TCU.

7. .@gagecanning is the only Sun Devil with a hit in all seven games this season and leads team with seven runs scored.

8. .@EderTwentyUno has been named to the @NCBWA Stopper of the Year Preseason Watch List.

9. .@lyle_lin has multiple hits in five games this season already. No other Sun Devil has done so in more than 2.

10. .@ASU_Baseball has won at least 30 games in 56 consecutive seasons, two more than Florida State in second.

Scouting the Aggies

NMSU's Austin Botello has been named the WAC Hitter of the Week. On the season, the outfielder/designated hitter has a .556 batting average with a .638 on-base percentage and a .833 slugging percentage. The impressive numbers include four doubles, two home runs and 15 RBI over nine games.
Botello was 15-of-23 at the plate in a four game series against Mount St. Mary's, hitting for a WAC-best .652 average with a 1.043 slugging percentage and .678 on-base percentage.
The Aggies are 6-3 this season and coming off a four-game drubbing of Mount Saint Mary's in which they outscored the opposition 73-10.
In last week's mid-week contest, NMSU took a tough 19-1 loss to then No. 21 Texas Tech in Lubbock.
NMSU has put together Top-35 recruiting classes in each of the past two seasons and has three players on the roster selected in the 2016 MLB Draft.
The Aggies were picked to finish second in the WAC in the preseason coaches poll.

The Sun Devils have dominated the Aggies throughout history, holding a 33-2 record over NMSU all-time and have not lost against the program since 2002.
The Devils last saw NMSU in 2015, a 7-3 victory over the Aggies.
The Devils are 122-27 all-time against programs currently competing in the Western Athletic Conference.
