Pam Richmond Champagne
Tennis / 1968-1971 /
As a junior in 1971 in competition at New Mexico State and seeded third, she swept the finals and then defeated teammate and ASU Charter Hall of Famer Peggy Michel, 6-1, 6-2 to win the national collegiate championship. She then teamed with her singles final victim to win the doubles title, 6-2, 6-4, to bring Arizona State the national collegiate team title.
Reka Cseresnyes
Tennis / 1995-1998 / Inducted 2013
Cseresnyes was the first freshman in program history to earn All-American honors. She excelled in all four seasons in Tempe and went on to become the first Arizona State women’s tennis player to be a four-time All-American. She posted a 104-51 record in four seasons and finished each year ranked nationally in the top 25. She played as the top singles seed each year for the Sun Devils. As a senior in 1998 she advanced to the third round of the NCAA Individual Championships. In her sophomore year she advanced to the quarterfinals in that tournament. Cseresnyes’ accomplishments off the court include being named the 1998 female student-athlete Pac-10 Medal Winner and earning her bachelor’s degree from ASU in 1998. She was a two-time Pac-10 All-Academic choice, an Athletic Directors Honor Roll selection and a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), while also being a four-time Maroon and Gold Scholar-Athlete.
Adria Engel
Tennis/ 1999-2002/ Inducted 2017
Adria Engel made history as ASU's first Pac-10/12 Champion in Women's Tennis. She was a three-time first-team All-Pac-10 selection, and earned All-American honors three times in singles and once in doubles at Arizona State. She was a five-time All-American, once as a freshman at Wake Forest and four times while at ASU. Her 132 victories in singles set a school record, and her 32 wins in 2001 are the second-best single season mark in school history. Engel led ASU to top-10 national finishes from 2000-02, and in 2001, was one of six student-athletes named to the USA Tennis Collegiate Team. She played professionally for four years after leaving ASU, winning two singles and two doubles titles.
Margaret "Peggy" Michel
Tennis / 1968-1972 / Charter Inductee-1975
Michel was the Women's National Collegiate doubles champion with ASU teammate Pam Richmond in 1971-1972. She was the singles runner-up in 1971. Teamed with Evonne Goolagong of Australia, she won the 1974 Wimbledon doubles championship. She was a member of the national collegiate champion ASU teams in 1971 and 1972.
Sheri Norris
Tennis / 1984-1986 / Inducted 1991
A three-time All-American, she reached the semifinals of the 1986 NCAA singles Championship, which at the time marked the furthest any ASU player has advanced in the championship. Norris also holds the distinction of being the first Sun Devil to compile over 80 singles victories during her four seasons.
Claire Schmoyer
Tennis / 1971-1975 / Inducted 2006
Claire posted a career singles record of 73-2 during the 1973-75 seasons, as well as a 71-4 doubles record, teaming with her twin sister, Kay...a member of the 1974 ASU National Collegiate Championship team...was a member of the Heffelfinger Collegiate Team Trophy Ojai Invitational winner three consecutive years (1973-75)...won the Intermountain Conference Doubles title with sister Kay in 1974 and 1975...was an Intermountain Conference Singles Finalist three years (1973-75), and an Intermountain Conference Singles Finalist two years (1974-75)...finished third in the United States Tennis Association Collegiate Doubles championship.
Kay Schmoyer

Kay had an undefeated singles career (75-0) from 1973-75, and tallied a 71-4 doubles record while teaming with her twin sister, Claire...was a member of ASU's 1974 National Collegiate Championship team...was the Intermountain Conference Number 3 Singles Champion in 1973 and 1974 and the Intermountain Conference Number 5 Singles Champion in 1975...was a member of the Heffelfinger Collegiate Team Trophy Ojai Invitational winner three straight years (1973-75)...was part of the Intermountain Conference Doubles championship team in 1974 and 1975, partnered with sister Claire...teamed with Claire to place third in the 1974 United States Tennis Association Collegiate Doubles championship.
