- Went 2-2 at the Journeymen Collegiate Classic that featured a pin and a decision.
- Earned his first victory of the season over 24/HM Jackson Turley (RU) by MFF.
- Claimed Pac-12 Wrestler of the Week honors on January 24 after picking up his fifth win of the season with a 6-3 upset over Stanford's No. 23 Tyler Eischens.

- Redshirt for ASU, going 12-4 at 174 in open tournaments with a 9-0 start to open his career. Earned four majors and one tech fall victory.
- Went a perfect 4-0 at Appalachian State's Mountaineer Open, and 4-0 again at Wyoming's Cowboy Open.
- Youngest Valencia brother following NCAA champion Zahid ‘20 and All-American Anthony ‘22.
- Two-time state runner-up and multi-time Fargo All-American.
- Ranked No. 5 in the class of 2021 at 160 lbs
- 2019 Super 32 champion
- Won the 2020 CIF SS Ford Masters Wrestling Championship in the 160-pound weight class
- Beat top-10 Ohio State signee Paddy Gallagher at the 2020 Doc Buchanan Invitational
- Also faced with No. 3 recruit in the class 2021 and Penn State signee Alex Facundo.
- Cael is the third Valencia brother to come through ASU, following program legends Zahid and Anthony.
