Haislan Garcia joined the ASU wrestling staff as a volunteer assistant coach prior to the 2016-17 season.
Garcia is a three-time Canadian Olympian, most recently competing in Rio, also competing in 2008 and 2012. He also won a bronze medal at both the 2014 Golden Grand Prix and the 2015 Pan American Games.
He also finished 15th at 65 kg at Senior World Championships in Paris, France in August 2017.
The nine-time Canadian National Champion also placed fifth at the 2010 World Championships and is a multiple-time Pan-American championship medalist.
