Starts third season as a Sun Devil... teamed with Sheri Norris and advanced to second round of the 1985 NCAA Championships...posted a 17-6 record as a freshman...two-year singles record against Division I play is 35-19...possesses one of the strongest serves in collegiate tennis...will play in number two or three positions in singles...a 1982 graduate of Beaverton High School in Beaverton, Oregon... earned four letters in tennis and captained the freshman basketball team... all-state in 1979, 1981 and 1982...majoring in physical education...parents are John and Juanita Coparanis of Beaverton...born November 1, 1963...full name is Carol Denise Coparanis
