The leadership and dependability of Cali Jankowski has helped the "Super Seven" Sun Devils find their groove heading into the final stretch of the season.
FEATURE:
2021-22 (Senior)
- Named an ITA Scholar Athlete
- Played primarily at the No. 4 spot this spring, posting a team-best 18-4 record in singles
- Went 6-6 on doubles Court 3 alongside Marianna Argyrokastriti
- Enjoyed a midseason stretch in which she won nine consecutive singles matches (2/27-4/8)
- Went 4-1 in the postseason on Court 4
- Clinched a Sun Devil win over No. 12 Cal (4/1) with her 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 victory
- Named an Honorable Mention for the Pac-12 All-Conference Team
2020-21 (Junior)
- Played in seven duals, primarily at the No. 5 spot, going 4-2 there.
- Won her No. 6 court against No. 39 USC in straight sets.
- Named an ITA Scholar-Athlete.
- Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll.
2019-20 (Sophomore):
- Went 4-3 on the season when playing on court five.
- Won back-to-back weekends (2/9 and 2/14) for her highest win streak of her career.
- Went 3-1 in doubles at Whiteman Tennis Center with partner Savannah Slaysman
2018-19 (Freshman):
- Did not compete during the spring season.
- Won one match and lost one match during the fall.
- Defeated No. 64 Vivian Wolff (UGA) in three sets.
- Top-five in the nation in girls 14's, 16's and 18's
- Held the No. 1 rank in the state of California for 16's and 18's
- USTA Gold Ball for singles and doubles
- USTA Bronze Ball in singles
- Maintained above a 4.0 GPA in all four years
Personal:
Cali Jankowski was born on Aug.18, 2000 to David and Haley Jankowski... Cai has roots at ASU as her cousin and aunt both attended the university... Her grandfather worked in the engineering department at ASU for more than 40 years and was at one point the dean of the school... Cali is pursuing a degree in sports business at ASU and is enrolled in the Barrett Honors College.
