Matt Trimble

Matt Trimble enters his 11th season as the Volunteer Assistant Coach for Sun Devil Women's Golf after serving a similar role in an unofficial capacity in previous years. A staple of the Sun Devil Men's and Women's Golf programs for over the last 30+ years, Trimble is considered one of the top golf instructors in the region. The list of names he has worked with during his career include some of the top PGA and LPGA Tour professionals, highlighted by Sun Devil alumni Jon Rahm and Linn Grant.  When Sun Devil Golf called Karsten Golf Course home, Trimble was the head club pro, teaching golf to the public and helping develop Arizona State student-athletes from 1992-2018. He made the transition with the program over to one of the nation's top college golf facilities, The Thunderbirds Golf Complex located at Papago Golf Club. Since making the move, Trimble has continued his succesful instruction business while also serving as a key asset for the Sun Devil Women's Golf program. Head Coach Missy Farr-Kaye has worked with Trimble for over three decades and recognizes the impact he has and continues to make.
