Ryan Leary joined the Sun Devils in August 2019 as the director of operations.
Leary served as a graduate assistant for the Virginia Commonwealth volleyball program. He was part of back-to-back Atlantic 10 regular season championships for the Rams. At VCU, he earned his master’s degree in sport leadership.
While earning his undergraduate degree in sport management with a minor in business at Kansas, Leary was the head student manager for the volleyball team for three seasons. After three years, he transitioned into a role as the student intern director of operations, which he did for one season. During his time with the Jayhawks, Kansas earned its first sweet sixteen appearance in 2013 and a trip to the final four in 2015.
Leary is a native of Lawrence, Kansas.
