Collegiate Career -
  • 2022 DI individual National Champion (1:03:41).
  • Member of the 2021, 2022, and 2023 DI National Championship team.
  • Named to the DI 2022 West All-Region First Team
  • Named 2021 First Team All-American.
  • Finished 7th at the OktoberFest Sprint Triathlon race on Oct. 24, 2022.
  • Finished the 2021 D1 National Championships in 6th (1.06.50.1).
  • Raced in 2021 Pleasant Prairie and finished 5th (1:01:52.3).
  • Named to the Pac-12 2021 Fall Academic Honor Roll.
  • In the 2023 national championship, placing third (1:03:49). 
  • Finished 12th in the 2024 West Regional Qualifier (1:04:27)
Prior to ASU - 
  • Placed in the top-15 at the Tiszaujvaros, Hungary ITU Triathlon World Cup in July of 2019. Also won gold medals in 2019 at the ATU Triathlon African Championships, USA Trithlon Monroe Junior Elite Cup and the Durban ATU Triathlon Junior African Cup. 
  • Has performed well at the Olympic level, taking gold at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics in Bueno Aires in October for South Africa's first ever gold medal in triathlon. The talented triathlete has experience in duathlon, swimming and cross country as well.

GETTING TO KNOW AMBER...
If you could have dinner with anyone from any era, who would it be and where?
 Usain Bolt at any Italian restaurant.
One word to describe your feeling when you were put on the ASU uniform for the first time: Honored.
Where is your favorite place to run in Phoenix? I’ve only ever been to Phoenix once, and it was only for a few hours. But I’m sure I’ll find plenty of amazing places to run.
You have a chance to go watch one past sporting event live (any sport) ...what are you going to? Eliud Kipchoge’s breaking two.
MLB players pick a song to play on the PA system when they step up to the plate. You are a MLB player. What song is playing as you dig into the batter's box? ‘Till I Collapse – Eminem.
What did like best about your hometown? The coast and ocean.
A movie you have watched more than once and will watch again: Eat Pray Love.
Past Sun Devil (any sport) you wish you could have watched compete: Long distance events in the track and field.
Favorite song from your favorite artist? hmmm, anything Post Malone.
Are you a good dancer? When is the last time you danced? I’d like to think I am, but it’s definitely not something that runs in my genes.
What is one of your favorite quotes? ‘No human is limited’.
What is your favorite form of exercise? Running.
Favorite hiking spot? Sani Pass, South Africa.
Who has been the biggest influence on your career? My mom.
If you could witness any event past, present or future, what would it be? The release of Nelson Mandela.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? Dance.
If you could meet anyone, past or present, who would it be? Eliud Kipchoge.
What did you do growing up that got you into trouble? I hid in clothing racks when my mom went shopping and she thought I went missing.
What story does your family always tell about you? How I thought wifi connected via a cord, haha.
What is your favorite TV show and why? Crime documentaries because human behavior interests me.
If you were a character on a TV show, which one would you be? Dora The Explorer.
If someone wrote a book about your life, what would they title it? Dream Big.
Name one thing about yourself that most people don't know: When I was little, I wanted to be Hannah Montana.
What is your favorite commercial? Anything by Nando’s South Africa.
A Sun Devil "story" that has put a lump in your throat: I expect to hear some stories when I arrive.
If you could live during any time period when/where would it be and why? I would want to live in a modern era, in Italy, because of the culture and food.
What is the most important thing that a parent/grandparent taught you? Don’t take sweets from strangers.
What was the single-biggest challenge of your life? Battling to balance my schoolwork with training and traveling.
What is your favorite road trip destination? Mozambique.
What toppings do you get on your pizza? Anything but pineapple.
Favorite pro athlete you have been around… Rachel Klamer.
Most underrated coach you have been around... John Renwick.
What I know now that I wish I knew in high schoolI never needed such a big lunchbox.
Typically, I am in bed and lights are out at9pm.
Last book I read: Roar by Stacey T. Sims.
Last movie I saw: American Sniper.
What was the first concert you ever attended? 
Kelly Clarkson.
My favorite month...December.
Something I have not done, but I will...Master the baking of a sponge cake.
What is your favorite holiday and why? Christmas, because I usually see my whole family.
What three words would you use to describe yourself? Ambitious, Dedicated and driven.

What is your best childhood memory? Playing with my cousins under the ‘Magic Tree.’
You have just won the lottery, what is your first purchase? A plane ticket to Bora-Bora.
What is your favorite sport to watch? Triathlon!
What is your favorite food? It’s a tough choice between pizza and sushi.
What is your favorite restaurant? Lupa Osteria. 
What do you miss the most about being a kid? 
Climbing trees.
