--Comeback was complete in 2019-20 as he played in 23 games, started in 11, averaged 15.6 minutes per game and grabbed 22 offensive rebounds.
--Inserted into the starting lineup at Washington on Feb. 1 and the team ran off seven straight Pac-12 wins for the first time since 1980-81. Had seven rebounds in the big Oregon win on Feb. 20 and eight points and six rebounds in final game of season vs. Washington State.
--Played in six games due to heath issues in 2018-19.
--In 2017-18, after starting in the first six Pac-12 games, he came off the bench at Cal on Jan. 20 and led ASU in rebounding for the fifth time in his first 11 games. He missed the first eight games as a mid-year transfer and then averaged more than five boards in just over 22 minutes per game. He led or tied for ASU lead in rebounding in six games.
--Skilled 6-7 forward who started seven games and played in 23 as a freshman at Ohio State in 2015-16 and joined the Sun Devils in January of 2017. Became eligible in the second semester of the 2017-18 season and now has two seasons to play.
--Native of Plano, Texas, sat out the first 10 games of 2015-16 at OSU but played in 23 of the final 24 and started the final seven games.
--Averaged 2.0 points and 2.8 rebounds in 12.8 minutes and in his seven starts averaged 22.1 minutes while scoring 3.7 points and collecting 4.7 rebounds.
--Best game came in the National Invitation Tournament against Akron when he scored nine points, and he also had games of six points and seven rebounds vs. Iowa and five points and seven rebounds at Michigan State.
--As a senior at Plano West High School he averaged 8.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game for a team that went 25-2.
--The 2014-15 Plano West team also featured Tyler Davis, the top-rated player in Texas, and D.J. Hogg, the No. 4 rated player. Both Davis and Hogg play at Texas A&M and were named to the SEC All-Freshman Team in 2015-16. Mitchell averaged 13.6 points, 7.7 rebounds and 6.3 assists in leading Plano West to a 22-7 record as a junior.
--Mitchell played his AAU ball with the Texas Titans and averaged 8.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 6.3 assists for the Titans at the 2014 Peach Jam.
--Helped Prestonwood Christian Academy to TAPPS 5A State Championship and City of Palms Classic crown as a freshman, ending season ranked No. 8 nationally in USA Today Super 25.
--Son of Ken and Candy Mitchel and has eight siblings, Missi, Mandi, Monte, Matt, Misha, Mike, McKinley and Morgan.
--Father played football for the Atlanta Falcons and minor league baseball in the California Angels organization.
