GAME #30 ASU 65, STANFORD 56 (MAR. 5)
ASU wrapped up the season winning 7 of the last 8 games in the victory over the Stanford Cardinal on Senior Night. The Sun Devils entered the second half losing by two (32-30), but displayed a great defensive effort after the break to outscore Stanford 35-24, after forcing the visitors to 21 turnovers on the night. It was a perfect farewell for seniors Marreon Jackson and Kimani Lawrence. Jackson was the game top scorer with 18 points. On the other hand, Kimani Lawrence scored the last bucket of the game with an emphatic windmill dunk that allowed DFA to say goodbye to Mr. Sun Devil, who this season beat the record for the most number of games played at ASU. The Sun Devils shot .490 from the field and kept Stanford bellow .400 in both FG and three-pointers. This would not be the last game between ASU and Stanford, since this became the first round matchup in the Pac-12 Tournament.

GAME #29 ASU 71, CALIFORNIA 44 (MAR. 3)
The Sun Devils notch the second straight 3-game winning streak in the victory over the Cal Golden Bears. ASU never trailed and led for 39:24 in a dominating second-half win. The Sun Devils led 31-25 at the half but used several runs to outscore the Bears 40-19 in the second, which started with a putback dunk from Alonzo Gaffney and a Jay Heath 3-pointer that forced Cal's timeout. ASU shot 18-of-28 (.643) from the floor in the second half and 30-of-56 (.536) for the game to beat Cal for the eigth time in nine tries. Five Sun Devils were in double digits, as ASU held Cal to 18-of-59 (.305) from the floor and 5-of-26 (.192) from three and won the rebounding (38-34), points off turnovers (18-2), points in paint (42-22) and fast break points (27-2) stat lines. Cal's top scoring run was 5-0 in the first five minutes whiel ASU had a 13-0 run midway through the second half.

GAME #28 ASU 63, UTAH 61 (FEB. 26)
The Sun Devils carried momentum from the victory in Boulder to play a solid game and defeat a battling Utes squad. ASU led 33-30 at the half with a Jalen Graham bucket, which initiated a run that built a 14-point lead. Utah never let down and came back after the Sun Devils established a 59-49 lead by scoring 10 straight points that tied the game at 59. Both teams exchanged buckets in the next possession, and with the 61 tie, Marreon Jackson, who was 1-for-8 at that point, scored a game-winning layup. The Utes had a last chance to win the game, but their shot couldn't find the net and the Sun Devils secured the victory despite missing their top-scorer DJ Horne (non-COVID illness). ASU was led by Jay Heath's 20 points, while Jalen Graham added 15 and Luther Muhammad and Kimani Lawrnece had 10 each. Jackson added six rebounds and six assists while Jamiya Neal had six rebounds.

GAME #27 ASU 82, @COLORADO 65 (FEB. 24)
ASU (11-16; 7-10) led by as many as 26 in the second half en route to an 82-65 win at Colorado, topping a Buffalo team that had won five straight. ASU shot .552 (16-of-29) in the second half, made 9-of-17 (.529) from three and 13-of-15 (.867) from the free throw line for the game and outrebounded Colorado 38-26 to cruise to the win. Jay Heath had 18 points, while Marreon Jackson (17 points and five steals) and Luther Muhammad (season-high 15 points) came off the bench and led ASU to a 35-15 advantage in bench points. Jalen Graham had 14 points on 7-of-13 shooting and added five boards and three assists. CU's biggest lead was 5-0 just two minutes into the tilt and there were five ties 10 minutes into the game, but ASU took a 17-16 lead with 8:55 left in first half and never looked back. It raced out to a leads of 25-16 (7:26) and 37-24 (1:19) and didn't let up in the second half, going up 72-46 on a Jay Heath three-pointer with just under seven minutes remaining.

The Sun Devils started the second half down by 13, but showed resilience and fought back despite the fact that UCLA led from start to finish. However, the Sun Devils made the Bruins sweat as ASU fought back from a 17-point deficit in the first half to cut the score to 46-45, but UCLA outscored ASU 20-7 to get the season split from ASU. ASU made more field goals than the Bruins, but UCLA was 18-of-20 at the free throw line while ASU made three of four. Three Sun Devils had three players with nine points, but was able to fight against the Bruins thanks to a 20-point bench score, as Marreon Jackson had nine points and four steals.

The Sun Devils extended their game-winning streak to three after defeating the Oregon State Beavers. ASU carried momentum from the previous victory over Oregon, and dominated the entirity of the game. ASU never let it get tied beyond 2-2 in a 73-53 win, led 42-29 at hafltime and stretched it to 26 with five players in double digits. Marreon Jackson led with 15 points off the bench and DJ Horne led a 17-assist night with six as ASU added 10 steals and outscored OSU 22-8 in bench points and 20-8 in points off turnovers for its 13th straight over the Beavers in Tempe. The Sun Devils shot .452 from the field and kept Oregon State to a 2-for-19 shooting from the 3-point line, showing their latest defensive improvements.

The Sun Devils swept the season series against the Oregon Ducks at their return to Tempe. Although entering the second half with a 6-point lead, ASU pushed hard at the beginning of the second half, notching a 19-5 run to gain distance from the Ducks. Jalen Graham had fun on the court, as he was not only the Sun Devils' top scorer, but also wanted to assist the ball, and showed his handles with a behind-the-back pass to set up Kimani Lawrence. ASU led for nearly 37 minutes, shot 17-of-28 (.607) in the second half and led by as many as 27 in an 81-57 route of Oregon, its first regular season sweep of the Ducks since 2010-11. Jalen Graham had 18 points, nine boards and five assists while Kimani Lawrence, DJ Horne and Marreo Jackson all had 16, with Jackson's all coming off the bench in the first half. ASU outrebounded Oregon 40-29 and had 19 assists (including a career-best six from Jay Heath) and eight steals and outscored Oregon 18-4 in fast break points.

Arizona State held Washington State to just .305 (18-of-59) from the field and 10-of-33 (.303) from the three-point stripe and used a 33-14 bench points advantage to top the Cougars 58-55 in Pullman late Saturday (Feb. 12) . WSU cut the lead to two at 41-39, 43-41, 45-43, 47-45, 51-49 and 53-52 but each time the Sun Devils came back with a bucket. In the final 7:37, ASU made eight of its final 11 field goals, with four players getting at least one bucket. ASU got solid games from Jalen Graham (14 points) and reserves Marreon Jackson (14 points) and Luther Muhammad (12 points and eight rebounds) while shooting 14-of-25 (.560) from the field in the second half. Muhammad’s 12 points matched a season high and his eight rebounds set a career-high in his 86 career games (64 at Ohio State). Freshman Jamiya Neal played 11:38 and made his only shot -- a three-pointer -- and had one rebound, one block and one steal. In under 12 minutes, he was +16, including +10 in 4:20 of game time in the second half.

Washington got the lead 38 seconds into the game and never let it get tied in the Seattle win, as it shot 14-of-26 (.538) from the floor and 5-of-10 from the three-point stripe in the second half and led by 27 with over eight minutes remaining. The Huskies led in fast break points 18-4 (12-0 at one point), and took control in the second half after ASU had cut a 20-point first half lead to 40-32. ASU also cut the lead to 48-41 at the 17:47 mark but UW outscored the Sun Devils 31-11 over the next nine minutes to put the game away. Jalen Graham had 14 points and eight rebounds and Kimani Lawrence had 15 points and six boards.

GAME #21 #4 ARIZONA 91, ASU 79 (FEB. 7)
Less than 48 hours after the 3-overtime game against UCLA, the Sun Devils hosted No. 4 Arizona at Tempe, and couldn't pull off the second straight upset. ASU came off hot in the first minute, setting a 14-1 lead in the scoreboard thanks to some hot shooting and great defense, scoring 32 points off turnovers. However, the Wildcats showed their offensive abilities and took the lead at the end of the half. Only a steal and score by Jamiya Neal allowed the Sun Devils to keep a close score of 40-36. In the second half, ASU ran out of gas, and the Wildcats increased their lead with three straight runs (6-0, 10-0 and 8-0). Despite the loss, four Sun Devils scored in double figures, with Marreon Jackson and Jay Heath as the top scorers with 16 points, followed by DJ Horne and Kimani Lawrence with 11. ASU was able to keep Arizona at .368 from the 3-point line, while also forcing 20 turnovers off the Wildcats.

GAME #20 ASU 87, #3 UCLA 84, 3 OT (FEB. 5)
In one of the best games Desert Financial Arena has ever hosted since it opened in 1974-75, ASU and No. 3 UCLA traded buckets for 55 minutes before ASU put the game away with a 13-point third overtime and won 87-84. Each time had a shot to end the game before the third OT. At the end of regulation and the first overtime period, the Sun Devils shot from the three point line, with Marreon Jackson attempting the first, and DJ Horne the second. However, in OT No. 2 it was UCLA who had a chance to close it in the hands of Jaime Jaquez Jr., but also missed. In the last minute of the third overtime, it was the good job from Kimani Lawrence and Marreon Jackson from the free throw line what secured the victory for the Sun Devils. That caused the first crowd storming of the season. ASU held the Bruins to .372 from the floor (29-of-78) and put six players in double digits, led by Marreon Jackson scoring 24 off the bench while Jalen Graham posted his seventh straight solid game with 16 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. ASU's bench outscored UCLA 27-8 in a game where there were 16 ties and 10 lead changes. UCLA's biggest lead was seven, while ASU led by 11 just four minutes into the second half. The teams only committed 20 turnovers (UCLA 9, ASU 11).

USC jumped out to 14-2 lead, ASU came back to make it a two-point game at that half (26-24) and led 40-32 at 11:15 mark before USC's rebounding and second-chance points took over. Then, in the second half, the Sun Devils were able to remain close to the Trojans, entering the last minute of the game tied at 51. However, ASU's foul trouble allowed USC to close the game from the free throw line. Jalen Graham had a career-high 19 points, while Kimani Lawrence added 14 points and eight rebounds. ASU -- who posted a season low six turnovers -- shot 3-of-21 (.143) from the three-point stripe and couldn't overcome the Trojans making 16-of-25 (.640) free throws while only making 6-of-8. ASU outscored USC in the paint (38-24), but the Trojans posted a 20-7 advantage in second chance point and outrebounded ASU 58-39. However, the Sun Devils displayed a great deffensive effort, notching 11 blocks on the night.

The Sun Devils battled hard against their state rivals, the #3 ranked Arizona Wildcats, in Tucson. After being tied at the half 32-32, ASU couldn't hold Arizona in a try to pull off an upset. This good start was mainly thanks to DJ Horne's performance, scoring 15 of his 17 points in the first half hitting five three-pointers. A big factor for the Wildcats that helped them despite the slow start were the 18 free throws they made in these 20 first minutes. In the second half, there were three lead changes and six ties. However, the last minutes were controlled by Arizona to get the victory, as in the last six minutes of the game, ASU could only score eight points. The Sun Devils' top performer was DJ Horne, with 17 points, followed by Jay Heath with 10.

ASU was down to seven scholarship players (missing Kimani Lawrence and Jay Heath), battled USC early and led 22-10 with under eight minutes to go in the first half, but it ran out of bench minutes in a 78-56 loss on Monday. USC's bench outscored ASU's bench 36-8 and the Trojans outrebounded ASU 49-24. The Sun Devils shot .344 (22-of-64) which including .286 (10-of-35) in the first half. Marreon Jackson had a season-high 21 points, while Jalen Graham added 15 points and seven rebounds. DJ Horne added 14, as only Luther Muhammad was the only other Sun Devil to score (six points). ASU had nine steals - but no fast break points - and led for first 14:45 before USC came on strong late.

ASU and Stanford had 10 lead changes and eight ties in a 79-76 Sun Devil loss on Jan. 22 as ASU shot .525 (31-of-59), its highest percentage in a loss under Coach Hurley. ASU was 17-of-27 (.630) in the second half and came back from down 15 five minutes into the second half to take the lead, but could not overcome a free throw attempts differential of 32, as Stanford was 32-of-41 from the line and ASU was 7-of-9, including a first half where the Cardinal shot 13-of-17 while ASU made its only attempt. ASU had two players foul out and had four others with four fouls as it was whistled for a season-high 29 fouls. Jalen Graham matched his career-high with 16 points while DJ Horne led the Sun Devils with 18. ASU held Stanford to .380 (39-of-50) and its bench outscored the Cardinal bench 36-23. It marked the first time in college hoops since April 1, 2016, that a team had 12 more field goals than its opponent and lost the game.

GAME 15 (JAN. 17, 2022) -- ASU 64, UTAH 62
ASU improved to 6-10 in the season after a close victory against the Utah Utes. The game was decided in the last seven seconds of regulation, in which Jalen Graham scored from the paint to put the Sun Devils up by two. The Utes tried to answer with a desperate three-pointer, but sophomore guard Jay Heath blocked the shot and secured ASU's victory over Utah. The game was a back and forth battle from the beginning, as no team enjoyed a big lead. The best moment for the Sun Devils came early in the second half, when DJ Horne and Jay Heath made the score 39-33. However, the Utes came back, and with ASU in danger of losing the game, Marreon Jackson made a huge three to tie the game at 60. ASU's top scorer was Kimani Lawrence with 18 points, followed by DJ Horne with 13, Jalen Graham with 12, and Marreon Jackson with 10.

The Sun Devils faced their first game in 13 days, and only second in 26 in the loss to Colorado in Tempe. It was also the night in which Ike Diogu's no.5 went up in the rafters during an emotional ceremony at halftime. At that point, ASU only trailed by 3 (37-34). CU came out hot, leading 15-3, but the Sun Devils went on a 12-2 run led by Jalen Graham. However, the Buffaloes put up an impressive second half performance that led to the 18-point deficit. Graham led ASU in points, with 16, and rebounds, with 5, and the next top scorer of the game was Jay Heath, with 15 points.

In a back and forth contest that saw 10 lead changes and 8 ties in the second half, the Sun Devils fell to the Dons by one point as San Francisco connected on three free throws to take the final lead of the game. ASU was very active in transition and on the offensive glass, recording 26 points off of turnovers and 17 offensive rebounds. ASU's last lead of the game came in 5 minutes before the end, when Kimani Lawrence scored a lay-up to make it 56-55. Kimani Lawrence led the way in scoring with 18 points while also recording a double-double with 10 rebounds. DJ Horne contributed 17 points, 9 of them coming from the three point line. Jay Heath came off the bench to give ASU good minutes putting up 16 points, 12 rebounds and 3 steals, scoring 10 of those 16 points in the second half, with some crucial shots in crunchtime.

ASU improved its winning streak to three games after beating the Creighton Bluejays in a one-point game (58-57). The Sun Devils were able to secure its 30th halftime comeback win under coach Hurley. DJ Horne led the team scoring 12 points and Marreon Jackson added 10 points. ASU fell at half with 32-26, and had an 8-point deficit at the second, but were to hold Creighton to score a three pointer in the final 16 minutes forcing the Bluejays to miss 10 straight chances to put points on the board. The Sun Devils' defensive effort paid off, as they forced Creighton to a .200 percent from beyond the arc. They also made the Bluejays to turn the ball over 14 times (5 more than the Sun Devils).

The Valley was claimed by the Sun Devils as they defeated WAC Champions GCU Antelopes. The game left valley fans on the edge of their seats as both teams were battling out. ASU's Kimani Lawrence recorded a double double with 14 points and 14 rebounds. ASU was also being fouled by the Lopes which allowed them to score 25 rebounds. The Sun Devils started off hot, with a 6-0 run that would allow them to always lead the game. In the final minutes of the game, GCU tried to come back making every shot, but was not enough as ASU claimed the Valley. One of the most impressive stats was the program high 13 blocks in the night, with guard Marreon Jackson stopping GCU with 5 of the 13 blocks. With ASU not trailing many of its games, the Sun Devils were able to keep the game close while also securing another win to its record.

GAME 9 (DEC. 5, 2021) -- ASU 69, @OREGON 67
ASU snapped a five-game losing streak with the help of Jay Heath's game-winning three with 11 seconds left in overtime to seal 69-67 win, and DJ Horne's three pointer was a huge help for the Sun Devils to get into overtime. Although the Ducks would lead for almost the entire second half, the Sun Devils never let the lead go beyond four. A basket by Jalen Graham, followed by a stop on the defensive end, led to Horne's three that sent the game to overtime. Horne led the Sun Devils with 23 points, while Kimani Lawrence added 13 points and six boards. Heath added 14 points off the bench, as ASU was able to overcome a 42-22 points in the paint margin. ASU fell in a low-scoring affair in Tempe to the Washington State Cougars. Both teams struggled from the floor (with neither averaging more than a 30% FG), and went to the locker rooms at halftime with a short 18-10 for the Cougars. The Sun Devils' best efforts in defense came in the first half, holding on Washington State to a 11-minute scoring draught, but in the second, the visitors increased their lead to make it 51-29. Despite the loss against the Cougars, the Sun Devils improved their number in the second half with DJ Horne scoring 12 points. Enoch Boakye led the team with eight rebounds and three blocks.

ASU lost its last game in the Bahamas to Loyola Chicago. Although the Sun Devils had a tough night in terms of shooting (3-of-11 from the three-point line), the first half ended in a close 39-33 for the Ramblers. In the second, Loyola Chicago executed at their best, leading the second half 38-26 to make it a 77-59 victory for them. The Ramblers obtained their victory thanks to a 50 percent from the field performance, including a .464 from the three-point line. Despite the loss, Jay Heath had a season-high of 16 points off the bench. DJ Horne added 11 points and Enoch Boakye added nine points off the bench.

ASU battled it out with Syracuse but did not get the needed win. The first half was dominated by the Orangemen thanks to a 18-2 run on the last 5:33 minutes, on a 53% shooting first half. During the second, the Sun Devils put up an impressive effort trying to come back, and after being down 18 points with 12 minutes on the board, they cut it to make it 91-84 with only 1:09 left. However, ASU went on a 0-for-5 shooting on that last minute and Syracuse secured the win. Kimani Lawrence had his fourth double-double in six games with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Marreon Jackson put up 17 points that included five three-pointers.

ASU falls under No. 6 Baylor after leading the first half by six (18-12) with 13 minutes to play until the Bears outscored the Sun Devils 33-12 the rest of the half. ASU had 11 turnovers in the first half, which added to the 1-for-7 in the last 3:59 minutes, made the score 45-31 for the Bears at halftime. The second opened with a 19-11 run by Baylor, but the Sun Devils ended up winning the score during the second half by 32-30. Although ASU's overall performance wasn't 100%, DJ Horne led ASU with 20 points including six three-pointers.

ASU fell short to San Diego State after experiencing 10 lead changes throughout the game. The Sun Devils had a 39-30 lead at the first media timeout of the second half, but after that, the Aztecs went on a 12-0 run and secured the victory. ASU couldn't overcome the .373 shooting performance and was outscored 17-8 in points off turnovers. Despite the loss, Sun Devil Kimani Lawrence played a solid game after receiving his third double-double in four games scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds on 7-of-10 shooting. Lawrence wasn't the only Sun Devil that scored high. Marreon Jackson also scored 16 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Marcus Bagley was absent this game due to a knee injury in the North Florida game Nov. 15.

GAME 3 (NOV. 15, 2021) -- ASU 72, NORTH FLORIDA 63
ASU beat the UNF Ospreys after the Sun Devils defensive performance had a huge factor within its success in the second half. All eyes were on Marreon Jackson after scoring the last eight points of the game for the Sun Devils to take the win. Jackson scored two big tree pointers and made two free throws to give the team the 11-point lead at the end. Although ASU struggled in the first half of the game, DJ Horne scored the last five points of the half giving the Sun Devils its first lead of the game 39-37. ASU's non-conference game record moved to 52-20 while DJ Horne scored a season-high of 16 points and scored four three-pointers.

ASU fell at the buzzer against UC Riverside after JP Moorman II nailed a three-quarter court shot in front of the ASU bench to give the Highlanders a 66-65 victory. In a chaotic finale, ASU had the ball with 14 seconds to go after a good defensive effort, contesting a three-pointer and getting the ball when the rebound went out-of-bounds. Luther Muhammad, who ended the game with 11 points, scored a midrange floater with 1.7 left, but the referees stopped the clock and the game as UC Riverside had no timeouts, but time remained at 1.7 on the possession after taking a look at the game clock. Another pass went out of bounds after ASU tipped it, but the officials nullified the play due with a timing situation in question. Then, the Highlanders inbounded the ball to Moorman, who heaved in a 65-footer right in front of the ASU bench. UC Riverside made 10-of-20 from three in the first half. Kimani Lawrence posted 19 points and 12 rebounds for his second double-double in as many games. Marcus Bagley added 18.

The Sun Devil men's hoops team got its first win in the season opener with a 76-60 victory over the Portland Pilots. Although they got off slow at first, a 17-5 Sun Devil run combined between the last minute of the first half and the beginning of the second put ASU comfortably ahead 43-30. After going 2-of-16 in the first half from three, ASU closed the game on 5-of-11 from beyond the arc. Sophomore transfer DJ Horne nailed three three-pointers and posted 11 points. Horne was one of the five Sun Devils in double digits. Kimani Lawrence notched 19 points on 7-11 from the field, and 5-of-5 on free throws, and grabbed 10 rebounds for a double-double. Alonzo Gaffney with 15 (7-of-9 from the floor including a three), Marcus Bagley (12) and Luther Muhammad (10) also posted double digits.
