May Offensive Surges
Center fielder Johnny Sewald and right fielder Trever Allen have paced the Devils offense during the month of May. Sewald is hitting .432 (19-for-44), the only Sun Devil hitting above .333, and has a teambest four extra-base hits (four doubles). He is tied with Allen for the team lead with eight RBI during the month and has scored eight runs. Allen is hitting .333 (14-for-42) with three extra-base hits, including two home runs, and leads the team with 10 runs scored.

Righting A Defensive Wrong
The Sun Devils are on pace to have their best defensive numbers since 2010 as they are currently fifth in the Pac-12 in both fielding percentage at .973 and errors with 56. ASU has ranked at or near the bottom of the conference in both errors and fielding percentage in each of the past four seasons: Ranked 11th in the Pac-12 in both errors and fielding percentage in 2014 (76 errors) Ranked 9th in fielding percentage and 10th in errors and in 2013 (80 errors) Ranked 9th in Pac-12 in fielding percentage and 8th in errors in 2012 (74 errors) Ranked 8th in Pac-12 in fielding percentage and 10th in errors in 2011 (70 errors)

ASU ranks 13th in total attendance and is the only school west of Texas to draw more than 100,000 fans this season. The Devils rank 18th in average attendance with 3,082 fans per game. ASU’s 104,819 fans are the program's most since 2010 and is on pace to be the fourth-highest regular-season attendance since 1988. 

Ranked Wins
The Sun Devils have 11 wins over ranked opponents this season. They went 2-1 against then-No. 5 Oklahoma State on opening weekend and followed that up with a 1-2 record against then-No. 1 TCU, a 2-1 record against then-No. 24 Oregon State, 2-1 at then-No. 15 Oregon, two wins over then-No. 24 Arizona, one win at then-No. 13 Cal, and one win over No. 2 UCLA.
