OFF THE TEE
Earned his B.I.S. degree with concentrations in Business and Psychology in May of 2010...won medalist honors at the 2008 Bill Cullum Invitational (Oct. 27-28) with a 10-under 206 (66-69-71)...tied for sixth at the 2009 Olympia Fields Invitational in the fall of his senior season with a 4-over 214 (71-69-74)...one of two freshmen on the 2006-2007 squad (along with Knut Borsheim) who was regularly in the lineup...played in 23 tournaments in four-year career...could not have done any better academically in his first semester as he posted a 4.0 grade point average and was one of the top student-athletes on the team throughout his career as he earned Pac-10 All-Academic honrable mention honors in 2008-2009...a member of the Dutch National Team...played in seven events in his freshmen year and his 72.64 stroke average was better than future All-Americans Niklas Lemke, Matt Jones and Billy Mayfair posted in their freshman seasons...shot a 66 in the final round of the 2008 Ping Arizona Intercollegiate on Jan. 30...tied for 12th at 2007 Pac-10 Championship with a 2-under 286.
PREP AND JUNIOR CAREER
Member of the champion Dutch team at the 2005 European Boys Championship...also on winning squad at the Jacques L'Eglise Trophy competition...won the 2005 Danish Boys Championship and finished sixth at the European Young Masters, also in 2005.
BACKGROUND
Father is Gerrit, a horse ride instructor, while mother is Dedi...has an older sister, Dana, who is professional disc jockey known as DJ Danamite.
