Arizona State 2011-2012: Was one of the top freshman for the Sun Devils in his first season posting a record of 16-10 in the 184 pound weight class... Went up against nine ranked opponents throughout the season and had key victories over #18 ranked Max Thomusseit, #20 Matt Ryan of West Virginia, and #20 Erich Schmidtke of Oklahoma... Had five straight wins to close out the regular season... Advanced to the consolation finals in the PAC-12 Tournament before falling short of a win against Oregon State's Ty Vinson.
High School: A graduate of Pine Forest Senior High School (Fayetteville, N.C.)... lettered four times in wrestling, twice in football and once each in soccer and track & field... captained the wrestling team twice... complied a 160-17 career record in high school... twice was a state finalist at the North Carolina state meet at 189 pounds... spent his first two years of high school competing in Japan... selected his team's Most Valuable three times, including both seasons with PHSHS... selected to the National Honor Society.
