Freshman Benjamin Alvarado Holley, senior Alejandro Canizares, and junior Niklas Lemke have been named to the PING All-Region Team for the Pacific Region by the Golf Coaches Association of America. The team includes 15 golfers and any player ranked in the top 75 nationally.
Alvarado averaged a score of 72.5 in 2005-2006. He finished once in the top 10, tying for seventh at the Southern Highland Championship in Las Vegas.
Canizares, one of ASU's most decorated golfers, capped his senior campaign tying for sixth at the NCAA Championships. He placed in the top 10 in six tournaments in 2005-06 including five in the top five. He averaged 71.22 strokes per round.
Lemke placed in the top 10 five times this season including four times in the top five. He tied for fifth at the NCAA West Regional and placed second at the Pac-10 Championship. His average score for the season was 71.68.
The men's golf team finished its season placing 11th at the NCAA Championships.
