TEMPE, Ariz. - The NCAA officially extended invitations to seven Sun Devils and the men's 4x100m relay for the 2000 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, to be held this Wednesday through Saturday, May 31 through June 3, in Durham, N.C.

Phillips will also be a part of the men's 4x100 meter relay.

Phillips, Greer and MacDonald earned invitations by reaching automatic qualifying marks in their respective events. Phillips has the fourth-best leap in the country this season, posting a 26-6.25 when he won the Pac-10 long jump title May 20 in Eugene, Ore. Greer, also a long jumper, notched a 21-2.75 at the Double Dual in Tucson May 6, which is currently the 11th best mark in the country this year. MacDonald broke a 16-year-old school record when she recorded a 15:55.90 in the 5,000m at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut Calif., April 14, to automatically qualify. Her mark is the fifth fastest so far in the collegiate 2000 season.
ASU's 4x100m relay team posted the second fastest time in the NCAA this year, when it clocked a 39.01 at the Sun Angel Classic, April 15. Squad members are Phillips, Jim McGee, LaVell Robinson-Blanchard and Marcus Brunson.
Provisional qualifiers include Phillips in the 100m, with a season-best 10.28 that is ranked 27th in the country. Festa's 5,000m time of 13:54.20 is ranked 19th while Bizuneh's 10,000m mark of 29:13.61 is the 23rd fastest time this season.
Aguilera, ranked 15th in the NCAA in the 1,500m, posted a season-best 4:20.67 to provisionally qualify. Judie is also a provisional qualifier. Her career-best 52-1.75 in the shot put is ranked 10th in the nation.
