ASU-UCLA Series-Opener Special Promotion

April 17, 2000

TEMPE, Ariz. - The first 1,000 fans through the gates at Thursday night's ASU-UCLA baseball game at Packard Stadium will receive a free Jeff Duncan trading card.

The junior outfielder from Frankfort, Ill., is batting .342 on the season, with 54 hits and 35 RBI. Duncan has scored a team third-best 49 runs and is one of five Sun Devils who have started all 42 games for third-ranked ASU.

The third-ranked Sun Devils (33-9, 9-3 Pac-10) host No. 21 UCLA (24-15, 7-2) in a three-game set that begins Thursday. Game times are 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday.

NOTE: Eddie House, ASU's all-time leading scorer and the 2000 Pac-10 Men's Basketball Player of the Year, will throw out the first pitch Thursday night vs. the Bruins. With his 40 points vs. UCLA on Feb. 17, House became the first Pac-10 player to notch four 40-point games in one season.

ASU baseball single-game ticket prices begin at $4 for adults and $3 for juniors (18 and under) and seniors. Group tickets are just $2 each. For more ticket information, contact the ASU Ticket Office at 480-965-2381.
