2024-25 (Redshirt senior):
  • Became the first five-time All-American in Sun Devil Wrestling history at the 2025 NCAA Championships, where he placed third overall for the second top-four finish of his career
  • Went 6-1 at his final NCAA Championships, beating, No. 24 Nolan Neves (North Carolina), No. 8 Luke Luffman (Illinois), No. 14 Gavin Hoffman, No. 5 Ben Kueter (Iowa), No. 3 Greg Kerkvliet and No. 7 Isaac Trumble in Philadelphia
  • Finished the season 26-6, setting a career-best in wins
  • Earned the 100th win of his storied collegiate career on Feb. 16 against Oklahoma, fittingly during his final match in Tempe. Finished his career with 109 wins as a Sun Devil
  • Won 10 straight matches from early December-mid-February
  • Led the team in falls (7) and bonus-point wins (14)
  • Took second in the team's first trip to the Big 12 Championships, losing in the final to eventual national champion Wyatt Hendrickson (OSU)
2023-24 (Redshirt junior):
  • Reached NCAA All-American honors for the fourth time in his career. Took 6th at the NCAA Championships, earning wins against Nash Hutmacher (Nebraska), Nathan Taylor (Lehigh) and Yaraslau Slavikouski (Rutgers)
  • One of eight Sun Devils in team history to earn four-time All-American honors
  • Won the fourth Pac-12 Championship title of his career, beating Josiah Hill (Little Rock) and Boone McDermott (Oregon State)
  • One of seven in Pac-12 Conference history to win four conference titles
  • Had a 12-match winning streak, claiming victories against Nathan Taylor (Lehigh), Yaraslau Slavikouski (Rutgers), Boone McDermott (Oregon State), Konner Doucet (Oklahoma State), Dayton Pitzer (Pittsburgh) and Josiah Hill (Little Rock), among others
  • Earned his first win of the season against Jake Andrews (CSU Bakersfield) via tech fall, 17-2, for the 25th dual victory of his college career
  • Made his season debut in the team's dual against No. 9 Iowa State at Hamilton High School against No. 3 Yonger Bastida
  • Finished the season at 12-4
  • One of six Sun Devils to earn NWCA Scholar All-American status
2022-23 (Redshirt sophomore):
  • Finished the season 24-4 (10 falls & 3 major decisions)
  • Became an NCAA All-American for the second straight season, earning seventh place.
  • Became a Pac-12 champion for the second straight season in the 285 weight class.
    • Pinned Trevor Tinker (Cal Poly) to defend his Pac-12 title.
    • Earned a 17-2 tech-fall victory over Josiah Hill (Little Rock) to move into the championship match.
  • Reached a 12-match winning streak over the course of the season with five pins to his name.
  • Won his first match of the season over #7 Zach Elam (Missouri) by a major decision, 12-4 to secure the upset victory for the Sun Devils.
  • Defended his spot on USA's Senior World Team by defeating Tanner Farmer in a best-of-three at 2022 Final X Stillwater, punching his ticket to Senior World Championships in Serbia. 
2021-22 (Redshirt Freshman): 
  • 22-1 overall record. Gathered five major decisions, eight falls and two tiebreakers. Earned bonus points in 13 total matches.
  • Advanced to the NCAA Heavyweight gold medal match in just his second NCAA tournament. Lined up opposite No. 1 Gable Steveson (Minnesota) who's won the Dan Hodge Trophy and is a Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion and NCAA Champion.
  • Schultz claimed his second Pac-12 title with a 2-1 victory over Gary Traub (Oregon State) in the 2022 Pac-12 Championships
    • Swept the Pac-12 Tournament, defeating Oregon State’s Gary Traub (2-1) and Little Rock’s Josiah Hill (fall) to win his second Pac-12 crown and earn a spot at the NCAA Tournament (2 seed).
  • Schultz advanced to the 2021 Senior World Championships after earning gold in the Greco-Roman 130 kg weight class at the USA World Team Trials. He beat out Brandon Metz, Tanner Farmer and Jacob Mitchell to earn his first spot on the senior World team. 
  • Earned Pac-12 Wrestler of the week Nov. 30.
  • Won out the Mountaineer Invitational, with three falls. Took all four at the Cowboy Open, including two falls.
2020-21 (Redshirt Freshman): 
  • 2021 All-American
  • Won his first collegiate match against Gabriel Beyer (Little Rock) on Jan. 2nd
  • Claimed his first Pac-12 Championship title at 285 lbs. against Nathan Traxler (Stanford) in a 3-1 decision
  • Placed fourth in his first year at the NCAA Tournament (5-2)
  • Seeded No. 4 as a redshirt freshman on the grand stage
  • Defeated two top-10 opponents in Ames, Iowa against Iowa State (Gannon Gremmel) and Northern Iowa (Carter Isley)
  • Named Pac-12 Wrestler of the Week on Feb. 17
  • Schultz is tied for team high in wins (10) and pinned three opponents this season -- the fastest fall coming against Nathan Traxler (Stanford) in :44 seconds at NCAA Championships
  • Schultz competed in 19 matches this season for the Sun Devils -- finishing 17-2. His only two losses on the season come against Tony Cassioppi (Iowa) the third place finisher of heavyweight at NCAA Championships
  • In the preseason polls, Schultz was ranked out of the top-10 in all of the major polls, but by his NCAA berth he was ranked in the top-5 by FloWrestling, TheOpenMat, InterMat, Trackwrestling and WIN Magazine
  • Went 4-0 and was crowned champion of the 130 kg Greco-Roman weight class for his second championship at US Senior Nationals in October
