  • The Sun Devils matched the FBS modern-era record by scoring double-digit points in 125 consecutive games, equalling Louisiana Tech’s 125 game streak from 2008-18. ASU also holds the FBS active streak for consecutive games scoring more than 7 points, extending their streak to 140 straight games.
  • Brandon Aiyuk’s 86-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter was the eighth longest completion in program history and the longest pass play for the Sun Devils since Mike Bercovici’s 93-yard pass to Demario Richard in 2015.
  • ASU’s recorded 12 pass breakups today are the most by the team since at least 2000, the 12 pass breakups are tied for the second-most by a team in FBS this season
  • ASU is now +27 in the second  quarter, and + 21 in the fourth quarter this season
    • For comparison, ASU is +48 in the second and fourth quarters, and -2 in the first and third quarters combined.

  • Benjamin’s 12 100-yard rushing performances moves him into a tie for sixth in school history.
  • After his 32-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter, Benjamin has scored a touchdown in eight-straight games
  • He averaged 7.2 yards per carry, the most in a game since he averaged 10.4 per carry and rushed for 312 yards against Oregon State in 2018

  • The 363 yards through the air are the most by a Sun Devil quarterback since Manny Wilkins threw for 380 yards against Michigan State in 2018.
  • With 34 seconds left in the game, Daniels got into the endzone from 17 yards out to complete his third game-winning drive in his six-game career. 
  • Daniels’ 236 first half passing yards are the most he has had in a half so far in his career.
  • Daniels’ four total touchdowns (three passing and one rushing) are his most in a single game.
  • There are eight instances of a true freshman throwing for 200+ yards in a single half this season. Jayden Daniels is responsible for two of those performances.
 
Career Milestones
  • With three catches today, Frank Darby now has 40 career receptions 
  • Brandon Aiyuk reached 1,000 receiving yards in ASU career on his 86-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter. He also eclipsed 60 receptions in ASU career with his third catch of the game in the second quarter

  • Brandon Aiyuk’s 28.0 yard per catch average was easily the highest single-game per-catch average of a Sun Devil recording seven catches in a game, passing N’Keal Harry’s previous record of 24.3 in 2017. It is the highest yards-per-catch average in a single game for any receiver in ASU history with 7 or more catches in a game. 
  • Aiyuk now has at least one catch of 40 or more yards in five of ASU’s six games this season
  • Aiyuk’s average longest reception per game this season is 54 yards
 
The Gold Zone 
  • Arizona State was 2-for-2 in the red zone, coming away with a Zendejas field goal and a Daniels rushing touchdown on its two trips inside the 20.
 
Legion of BOOM
  • Arizona State allowed only 32 rushing yards this afternoon, the third time under Danny Gonzales that the defense has held an opponent under 50 yards rushing. 
  • Jack Jones’s five pass breakups are a career-high and eclipsed his season total of four entering Saturday’s game 
  • Six different Sun Devils recorded at least one pass breakup
  • The 12 pass breakups in today’s game marked the first time an ASU defense broke up 10 or more passes since the 2011 season. (11 vs. Oregon State, Oct. 1) 
 
Pedigree in the Z’s
  • Zendejas continues to be a reliable piece of the Sun Devil offense, responsible for 50 points through six games. He is now 11-of-14 on field goals and a perfect 17-for-17 on extra points.
