TEMPE – The lone home competition of the fall for Sun Devil Beach Volleyball is this Friday, with pairs matches being played all day between Arizona State, Arizona and Grand Canyon.
Matches will be played all throughout the day, with the first matches scheduled at 9 a.m. MST and the last ones scheduled at 5 p.m. MST. Arizona State pairs are scheduled to be playing every hour aside from the 10 a.m. block.

Admission is free for fans to attend. Additionally, there is a clear bag policy, though unopened water bottles are permitted. Fans should also be aware that rainy weather is possible for Friday.
This is the second-to-last weekend of fall competition. From November 6-8, the Sun Devil duo of seniors Kristin Gilmour and Olivia McElroy will compete at the AVCA Beach Pairs National Championship in Huntsville, Alabama. The rest of the team will play in the Lopes Fall Classic at Grand Canyon from November 7-8.
Team outlook
In 2026, Arizona State went 18-15 against a tough schedule, finishing ranked No. 12 in the final AVCA Coaches Poll for the third year in a row. Only eight of the 33 duals were against unranked opponents. The Sun Devils earned 10 ranked wins, including two against top-10 teams TCU and LMU.
The Sand Devils graduated five from the 2026 roster. They welcome two transfers and five freshmen. ASU returns three student-athletes that earned 20 or more wins in 2026: graduates Arden Besecker and McKenna Flaherty and senior Kristin Gilmour.
