PRINCETON, N.J. – Sun Devil Cross Country returns to action for its second meet of the 2026 season, competing at the Meadows Challenge, hosted by Princeton at the Meadows Campus Cross Country Course on Saturday morning.

The Meadows Challenge
The Sun Devils will make their first trip to Princeton’s Meadows Campus Cross Country Course for the Meadows Challenge. The field features programs from across the country, including host Princeton, Duke, Providence, Villanova and Texas A&M. Saturday marks the first 8K of the season for the Sun Devil men, while the women will move up to 6K after opening the year with a 4K at the Dave Murray Invitational.
Women’s last time out
Senior Kelli Gaffney made an immediate impact in her Sun Devil debut, winning the women’s 4K at the Dave Murray Invitational in 13:47.3. Gaffney became the second Sun Devil since 2016 to win her ASU cross country debut, joining Judy Chepkoech in 2024. Arizona State placed three runners inside the top five and six inside the top 10, led by Gaffney, Mia Chavez in third (14:05.1) and Taylor Drewry in fourth (14:09.8).
Men’s last time out
Sophomore Tyler Daillak led the Sun Devil men at the Dave Murray Invitational, finishing 11th in the 6K with a time of 18:19.2. Chris Caudillo followed just two-tenths of a second behind in 12th at 18:19.4, while Lemerian Lemashon placed 13th in 18:25.7. The Sun Devils placed four runners inside the top 15, with Boston Walseth rounding out the group in 15th at 18:28.2.
