The Sun Devil Men’s Golf team heads to the 20th Olympia Fields Country Club’s Fighting Illini Invitational held at Olympia Field Country Club Friday through Sunday. It marks the sixth straight year ASU will compete in the three-day tournament, which will be played on the South Course, which will play at par-70 and 7,215 yards.

2025 OFCC Fighting Illini Invitational
All-American Connor Williams earned his ninth top-10 finish at the 19th Olympia Fields Country Club’s Fighting Illini Invitational held at Olympia Fields Country Club as the Sun Devil men’s golf team wrapped up a busy week, which started in Utah. Williams finished tied for ninth with a 1-under 209 (72-68-69) to lead the Sun Devils, who finished eighth in the 15-team field with an 8-over 848 (286-280-282).
2024 OFCC Fighting Illini was good
ASU did it all but win the 2024 OFCC Fighting Illini Invitational, as it shot 11-under 829 that included the best 36-hole team score in tournament history (549). Josele Ballester shot 10-under 200 (64-66-70) to win the individual title, but Georgia Tech won by one stroke. Ballester's 10-under 200 matched the tournament record.

Sun Devil Niklas Lemke won the first title here in 2026 with a 1-over 211, while ASU won the team title with a 30-over 870.

Sun Devil men’s golf finished their first tournament at the Sahalee Players Championship (par 72/7,007 yards) in Sammamish, WA, Sept. 12-13. Junior Peer Wernicke fired a 10-stroke improvement from the second round with a 3-under 69 to finish tied for 11th at 5-over 221 (73-79-69). ASU shot 32-over 896 (295-302-299) to tie for sixth.
