TEMPE – The Sun Devil Beach Volleyball squad has five fall competitions on deck to prepare for the 2027 season, including one home date on October 30.
All competitions will be pairs tournaments, rather than normal team duals that are seen during the regular season.
The fall season will begin October 9-11 at the Manhattan Beach tournament. The following weekend, the Sun Devils will be down in Tucson for the Wildcat Fall Classic from October 17-18.
Following an off weekend, Arizona State will host the Sun Devil Fall Classic on October 30. Fans will be able to attend this day of competition for free and get their first chance to see the 2027 team in action.
It will be a busy weekend in the second week of November as the team will be split between two tournaments. The AVCA Beach Pairs National Championships will be held on November 6-8 in Huntsville, Alabama. Arizona State will send at most two pairs to the championships. Those not traveling to Alabama will compete in the Lopes Fall Classic hosted by Grand Canyon from November 7-8.
In 2026, Arizona State went 18-15 against a tough schedule, finishing ranked No. 12 in the final AVCA Coaches Poll for the third year in a row. Only eight of the 33 duals were against unranked opponents. The Sun Devils earned 10 ranked wins, including two against top-10 teams TCU and LMU.
The Sand Devils graduated five from the 2026 roster. They welcome two transfers and five freshmen. ASU returns three student-athletes that earned 20 or more wins in 2026: graduates Arden Besecker and McKenna Flaherty and senior Kristin Gilmour.
