TEMPE – Following the success of its 2026 season, the Sun Devil Softball program have picked up several honors from national organizations:

  • Katie Chester, Kenzie Brown, Kaylee Pond, Samantha Swan and Emily Schepp were all selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team on Tuesday, May 26.
    • 2026 marks the third consecutive year Arizona State has earned the max number of honorees (5) with Brown being the first Sun Devil to be selected in back-to-back years since Kelsey Hall was in 2024 and 2025.
  • As a result of her on-the-field success throughout the season, Kenzie Brown earned Second Team All-American honors from NFCA, D1Softball and Softball America.
    • Brown becomes the first Sun Devil in program history to earn All-American honors from three different organizations in back-to-back seasons after the Illinois native was a First Team All-American selection by the NFCA and Second Team honoree by D1Softball and Softball America following the 2025 campaign.
    • Brown is the first Arizona State softball student-athlete to earn any All-American honor in back-to-back seasons since Yannira Acuña was named a Second Team All-American by the NFCA in 2022 and 2023.
  • On Friday, May 29, Kenzie Brown officially signed with the Portland Cascade of the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) after the organization secured her rights in early May during the 2026 AUSL College Draft.
    • The Cascade will open the season on June 9 in Durham, N.C., against the Carolina Blaze in a three-game series.
      • Portland will make its home debut on June 18.
    • Ariona State finished with a total attendance of 51,882 for the season, which ranks 12th in the nation and second in the Big 12.

      • The television milestone is the third set by the Sun Devils throughout the 2026 season as Arizona State’s NCAA Regional-winning game over No. 17/16 on Sunday, May 17 marked the first NCAA Regional game to be broadcasted on ABC.
