IRVING, Texas - The Big 12 Conference announced the 2026 Women's Golf All-Conference teams and Sun Devil Women's Golf is well represented.

Arizona State landed three individuals on the Big 12 All-Conference team, the most selections of any team in the league. Patience Rhodes, Fai Rubrong, and Paula Schulz-Hanssen were recognized for their spectacular seasons. This is the sixth consecutive year that at least two Sun Devils have received All-Conference distinction. For the sixth time in the Missy Farr-Kaye era, ASU had three or more honorees. The respect for the Maroon and Gold is clear, as the awards are voted on by the other coaches in the league.

Patience Rhodes received Big 12 Player of the Year honors, selected by the coaches as the top player in the conference. Additionally, Fai Rubrong was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Year, meaning two of the four major awards handed out by the league went to Sun Devils.

Rhodes is the sixth Sun Devil to win a Conference Player of the Year award, the first since Monica Vaughn accomplished the feat on her way to winning the 2017 National Championship. She joins an exclusive list of some of the program’s most decorated golfers.

In their first two years in the Big 12, Head Coach Missy Farr-Kaye's program has wasted no time making an impact. Of the 31 All-Conference selections made by the league since Arizona State was added, seven of them were Sun Devils, the most of any Big 12 program. ASU has now had at least one representative on the highest All-Conference team every year since 2005. This is the third consecutive year that redshirt junior Patience Rhodes was an All-League selection, meaning she has secured the honor in every season she has been eligible.

Senior Paula Schulz-Hanssen was also named an All-Conference golfer for the third time in her career, also previously accomplishing the feat last year as well as after the 2023 Pac-12 season. Freshman Fai Rubrong joined an elite group of Sun Devil golfers to earn All-Conference honors in their first year. It is the fifth consecutive year that Arizona State has had a freshman recognized by a conference in their postseason awards.

“We are incredibly proud of having three team members named to the Big 12 All-Conference team,” Coach Farr-Kaye exclaimed. “Their dedication and commitment to improving and being great teammates have been incredible to watch. I am thrilled to watch us compete in the upcoming NCAA Regional with a chance to make the NCAA Championship.”

After landing four on the team last year, ASU has now combined for 22 All-Conference honors over the past six seasons alone. Under Missy Farr-Kaye, 27 total Sun Devils have made an All-Conference team. This is the 40th time at least two and the 35th time at least three from Arizona State have been honored with the distinction in a single season.

A total of 147 Sun Devils have now earned a spot on an All-Conference Team since the award was established back in 1980, when ASU was still in the Western Collegiate Athletic Association. That list includes current Head Coach Missy Farr-Kaye, who landed on the Pac-10 All-Conference Second Team back in 1990.

Message from Missy
"There are very few people who really understand how much adversity Patience has had to go through to come out on the other side of her injury back in early January. For her to have the year she had and for how well she ended the season in back her first tournament and conference playing, finishing fourth, this is just really impressive. I’m so proud of her and all of her accomplishments. There are so many good things ahead for her. Patience is so deserving of this award, and I'm just really thrilled for her.”

Message from Missy
"It's really exciting for Fai to be Freshman of the Year. Coming in January is not always easy. She has done a fantastic job of getting acclimated and adjusting. It was hard at first, but she found her footing and is a tremendous addition to our team. Not just in her performance, but she's a great teammate and a lot of fun. She is obviously quite talented too, so we’re thrilled to have her on the team. The best is yet to come for Fai.”
