History lesson: the only three-time winner of the Thunderbird Collegiate is Jon Rahm.

The ninth-ranked Sun Devil Men's Golf team hosts its Thunderbird Collegiate on April 10-11 at Papago Golf Club, with 36 holes on Friday and 18 to follow Saturday. Tee times start at 7 a.m. both days at the 7,419-yard and par-72 course, with Friday being a shotgun start.

ASU has won the past three Thunderbird Collegiate Invitationals but will have to do it without 2025 Thunderbird individual champion Fifa Laopakdee, who is competing in the Masters this weekend.

Teams competing
The 53rd version of the tournament will have nine teams step into the tee box, with Arizona State (No. 9) and No. 21 New Mexico leading the way, along with Long Beach State (28), UCLA (31), Utah (32), Colorado (43), San Diego (47), Oregon State (61) and Grand Canyon (92).

Three-dot data from Thunderbird
Arizona State has won the Thunderbird Collegiate 23 times, including the past three and four of the past six since moving to Papago Golf Club in 2019...the three straight wins are the most by Arizona State since ASU won three-in-a-row from 2017-19...the 39-under last year set the 54-hole team score vs par, topping the 38-under from 2024.

About those individual titles
Last year marked the fourth straight time the Sun Devils have claimed the Individual title at the Thunderbird Collegiate and 18 times overall.
