The Big 12 Conference today announced Sun Devil Women’s Basketball’s Gabby Elliott and McKinna Brackens were both named All-Big 12 Third Team as the league announced its 2025-26 Phillips 66 All-Big 12 Women’s Basketball Awards.

Elliott and Brackens both played integral roles in helping the Sun Devils win 20 or more games (currently 22-9) for the first time since the 2019-20 season. The duo worked seamlessly with their talented teammates to achieve several accomplishments under first-year head coach Molly Miller. The many successes of the 2025-26 Sun Devils have included:

  • Best start in school history (15-0)
  • 13-0 record in non-conference games
  • Tied school record for consecutive wins (15)
  • Went 15-2 at home (tied program’s second-most wins at home)
  • Program’s 22 wins represent first time since 2019-20 ASU reached 20 wins in a season
  • Swept regular season series vs. Utah for the first time since 2018-19
  • Swept regular season series vs. Arizona for first time since 2017-18
  • Won seven road games, the most ASU has won since the 2018-19 season

Gabby Elliott /// G /// 5-11 /// Grad. /// Detroit, Mich.

  • One of three Sun Devils to start every game in 2025-26.
  • Was among the top 11 scorers in the Big 12 in both all games (7th/16.4 ppg) and Big 12 games (16.3 ppg). Also finished the regular season 13th in the Big 12 in field goal percentage (41.0) and fourth in the league in minutes per game (33.3). In league games, Elliott was also among the leaders in free throw percentage (80.8).
  • Had scored in double figures 27 times, led or tied for team lead in scoring 13 times, led or tied for team lead in rebounds seven times and paces ASU in 20-point games (nine).
  • Often using her defense to create offense, Elliott had 3 or more steals eight times this season, including a team single-game high eight steals vs. San Francisco (Dec. 6).
  • Averaged 18.8 points and connected on 40.5 percent from long range in ASU’s 14 road games.
  • Playing without Brackens (injured), Elliott scored a season-high 30 points (21 points in the second half with 17 of them coming in the final 10 minutes) to lead ASU to a 68-66 win at Gonzaga (Dec. 16).
  • Earlier this season, scored in double figures in 15 straight games and averaged 18.9 ppg during that span.
  • Had 16 rebounds in win at Santa Clara, the most by a Sun Devil this season.
  • Came within one triple of tying single-game program record with six at San Diego (Nov. 13).

McKinna Brackens /// F /// 6-1 /// Jr. /// Fairfield, Texas

  • Like Elliott, finished among the Big 12’s top scorers both in all games (11th/15.1 ppg) and in league games (14th/15.5 ppg).
  • Was also one of the Big 12’s top performers in rebounds per game (14/6.4), field goal percentage (8th/46.4), defensive rebounds per game (9th/4.8) and minutes per game (6th/32.4). Like Elliott, Brackens also exceled in free throw shooting percentage in league games (16th/78.7)
  • Scored in double figures 25 times, led or tied for the team lead in scoring 13 times and led or tied for the team lead in rebounding 12 times.
  • Brackens’ seven double-doubles led ASU and tied for the fourth highest total in the Big 12.
  • Scored 22 of her career-high 31 points in the second half (14 of those points coming in the fourth quarter) in ASU’s win at Utah (Dec. 31), with. Time and again, Brackens came through in pressure situations at the foul line, knocking down eight of 10 attempts in the final period, including the tying and go-ahead makes with 1.1 seconds remaining.
  • Averaged 18.4 points per game while shooting 50.4 pct (32-55) in the five games prior to ASU’s regular season finale.
  • Earlier this season scored in double figures in 14 straight games and averaged 16.1 ppg and shot 50.3 FG pct., including 50 pct of her 3FGs (11-22) during that span.
  • In overtime win at Arizona (Feb. 14), scored 19 of her team-high 24 points in the 2nd half (10 points) and overtime (nine points), including the game-tying bucket with 3.3 seconds remaining to send the game to OT.
  • Established new career standard of 31 points at Utah (Dec. 31), including 22 points in the second half and 14 points in the fourth quarter.

The Sun Devils (No. 10 seed) open play in the Phiilips 66 Big 12 Women’s Basketball Tournament on Wednesday (5:30 p.m. CST/4:30 p.m. MST) when they face Arizona (No. 15 seed) in the third of four first round games at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Mo.
