TEMPE – Sun Devil Gymnastics will face its third ranked team in a row as the squad hosts No. 18 Denver on Saturday, Feb. 7, at 2 p.m. MST in Desert Financial Arena.

This meet will be the Sun Devil EmpowHER meet, with a free t-shirt giveaway for fans. Saturday’s meet will have a focus on promoting women’s sports, taking place just a few days after National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) on Feb. 4. EmpowHER is a group created by ASU student-athletes empowering individuals to have a voice, gain allies, and inspire younger generations through women in sports.
Like all meets, parking is free in lot 59.

Sun Devil Outlook
Arizona State (3-2, 1-1 Big 12)
- The Gym Devils are coming off of a road loss at No. 14 Utah where they struggled to find consistency across multiple events, scoring a 194.925.
- Senior Isabella Kowan made her season debut at Utah on beam, scoring a 9.850, the highest score from any Sun Devil that night.
- Senior Kimberly Smith is coming off of another solid performance earning a 9.825 on bars and a 9.800 on vault and floor. She has competed in the all-around in every meet so far this season. On floor, she has not scored below a 9.800.
- Freshmen have been a huge part of the Sun Devil success so far. Kylee Bromley has earned three event titles, including the all-around title in her collegiate debut. Safia El Mammann is another freshman contributing, having led off on vault with two scores of 9.825 or better. Delanie Kelly has been a staple in the floor lineups (as well as making other event lineups) and recently set her personal best on floor at BYU, earning a 9.875.
Opponent Outlook
No. 18 Denver (5-0, 2-0 Big 12)
- No. 18 Denver is undefeated this season, already earning two ranked teams: No. 13 Stanford and No. 25 Texas Women’s University.
- In Denver’s most recent meet against Iowa, the Pioneers did not record a single fall across all four events.
- ASU and Denver last faced each other in a dual meet on March 9, 2025, their first time competing against each other as Big 12 members. The meet was in Denver with the Pioneers scoring a 196.700 ahead of ASU’s 195.575. ASU is 13-14 all-time facing Denver.
- Denver has not traveled to Tempe since 1999 when they lost 195.875 to 193.475. They are 0-4 in Tempe.
