TEMPE - Day one of the fourth-annual Diablos Invitational saw No. 11 Sun Devil Men's Tennis (11-3) defeat Tulane, 4-1, behind four singles wins in straight sets on Friday night at Kiwanis Tennis Center. Junior Jelani Sarr clinched the match with his team-best 12th singles win of the season.
ASU will face No. 51 Liberty at 12:00 p.m. MST on Saturday Feb. 27. With a win, the Sun Devils would play in the championship match at 5 p.m., though a loss would have ASU playing in the third-place match at 2 p.m. MST.
Despite dropping the doubles point, ASU battled back to claim the next four points of the match with singles wins from the first, third, fifth, and sixth position.
