TEMPE- Sun Devil Men's Tennis (5-0) tacked on two more wins on Sunday after making quick work of UNLV in the two-hour 4-0 victory, which was followed by a 6-1 win over Utah State that ended the night at Chandler Tennis Center. The five wins to open the season is the most by the team since the program's reinstatement (2016-17).
Junior Bor Artnak returned to the lineup for the first time this season and picked up two doubles wins, and a gritty three-set victory over Utah State's Jean-Baptiste Badon. After dropping the first set 5-7, the Slovenian ceded just one game over the next two sets.
The duo of sophomores Jelani Sarr and Ofek Shimanov each also tacked on two more singles wins after Sunday's action concluded. Sarr's four singles wins is tied with Niels Villard for the team-leading mark. Shimanov is 5-0 in doubles alongside two different teammates, Villard and Artnak.
