KANSAS CITY - The Big 12 Conference is hosting their annual Big 12 Men's Basketball Media Day on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

Head Coach Bobby Hurley, redshirt senior guard Moe Odum, and sophomore guard Noah Meeusen are representing Sun Devil Men's Basketball. Arizona State will be feautred in the morning session along with seven other teams, with the other eight members of the league highlighted in the afternoon. Live coverage of the event will be available throughout the day on ESPNU and ESPN+. TuneIn Radio will also be at T-Mobile Center, recording interviews with coaches and student-athletes that will air leading up to the season

Moe Odum, Guard (The Bronx, NY)

  • Transfer guard from Pepperdine
  • Played two seasons at Pacific to start his career
  • Four-star transfer prospect, according to 247 Sports and On3 Sports
  • Averaged 13.1 points, 7.5 assists, and 3.2 rebounds while shooting 38.2% from the 3-point line in 2024-25
  • Finished fourth in the nation in assists per game in 2024-25
  • Shot 79.3% from the line on 92 attempts
  • 15+ points in 15 games
  • 8+ assists in 20 games, including eight double-digit assist performances
  • Enjoyed a legendary run at the 2025 WCC Tournament, averaging 21.5 points and 9.3 assists, helping Pepperdine reach the semifinal round
  • 2023 WCC All-Freshman Team

Noah Meeusen, Guard (Zandvliet, Belgium)

  • Appeared in 35 contests with 18 starts in the BNXT League
  • Averaged 6.7 points, 2.9 assists and 2.8 rebounds for Filou Oostende, who reached the BNXT playoffs
  • Voted BNXT Belgian Rising Star of the Year by his opposing coaches and players, recognizing the top player 23 years or younger from Belgium
  • Had 11 double-figure contests in the 2024-25 campaign
  • Posted a career best 18 points on 4-for-4 in the field and 3-for-5 from behind the arc against the Den Healder Suns (5/10/25)
  • Maintained a career best 57.9 field goal and a 40.9 three-point percentage
  • Represented Belgium playing with the Senior National Team at the 2025 European Championships, appearing in their matchup with Spain
  • Finished with five assists in 17 minutes of action
  • Competed on the 2024 U22 Belgian National Team
  • Helped Belgium win Silver at the 2023 Division B FIBA U18 European Championship, averaging over 18 points per game

Big 12 Media Day Enhancements
The Big 12 Conference continues to innovate as it introduces new enhancements to this year’s 2025 Big 12 Basketball Media Days presented by New Era, held at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City.

These enhancements include:

  • New Era Sponsorship: In addition to being the presenting sponsor, New Era will provide official co-branded media gifts for all attendees.
  • Sports Illustrated Swim Beauty Bar: A special addition to the women’s day, offering student-athletes and coaches access to professional hair and makeup touch-ups throughout the day.
  • Full Media Partner Presence: All five of the league’s television partners — ESPN, FOX, CBS, TNT and NBC — will be on-site to capture the distinctive look and energy of Big 12 basketball.
  • Expanded Digital & Influencer Coverage: Bleacher Report, Lethal Shooter, PassThaBall and Olivia Petnicki will provide behind-the-scenes coverage from Kansas City, including a new shooting skills challenge featuring Big 12 student-athletes.
  • The Big 12 Arrival Walk: A black-carpet entrance allowing players and coaches to showcase their style and personal brand as they arrive at T-Mobile Center.
  • Kid Commissioner Debut: A new partnership with Children’s Mercy, featuring the introduction of a Kid Commissioner who will help welcome Commissioner Brett Yormark during his address.

Conference of Contenders

  • The Big 12 tied both a Conference record and the national lead with six teams in the Preseason AP Top 25 Poll, with a nation-leading three teams inside the Top-10
  • Four of the last six national championships have featured a Big 12 school, including Houston’s appearance in the game last season. The run is highlighted by back-to-back national championships by Baylor in 2021 and Kansas in 2022
  • The Big 12 has been the top ranked Conference in NET/RPI (prior to 2019) in nine of the past 12 seasons
  • The Big 12 boasted the nation’s top winning percentage in the 2025 NCAA Tournament (66.7%)
  • Every Big 12 team had an AP Top 25 win last season, the only league to accomplish the feat
  • All four semifinalists in the 2025 Big 12 Championship reached the NCAA Sweet 16 for the first time in league history. The Big 12 produced 25% of the teams in the Sweet 16, Elite Eight and Final Four
  • 13 of 16 Big 12 teams reached the postseason, including seven who made the NCAA Tournament. It is the 11th consecutive Tournament to feature at least six Big 12 teams, with the Conference receiving at least seven bids in eight of those seasons
  • Eight of the top 14 recruits in the 2025 class are at Big 12 schools
  • The Big 12 has produced a first-round selection in each of the last 26 NBA Drafts
