PHOENIX - Sun Devil Baseball will close out the 2025 regular season with a midweek tilt against Grand Canyon at Phoenix Municipal Stadium prior to hitting the road to face Oklahoma State in the final series of the regular season.
The Sun Devils just took two of three from Houston to improve to 34-14 on the season and 18-9 in the Big 12. The series win marked 10 weekend-series wins on the year for the Sun Devils.
Among Power Four/multi-bid leagues, ASU tied as the 14th team this season to reach double digit weekend series wins, moving to 10-3 in overall series. The 10 wins are the most since going 11-4 in 2021 and just the second time reaching double digits from 2017-p.
ASU remains in sole possession of second place in the Big 12, two games back from West Virginia and one game up on Kansas and TCU - and holding the head-to-head tiebreaker against both - heading into the final weekend of play. Because West Virginia will not play a full conference schedule this season due to cancellations, the Big 12 regular season championship will be decided by win percentage.
The Sun Devils would need to sweep its series at Oklahoma State while WVU would need to be swept by Kansas in Morgantown in order for ASU to come out on top in that scenario.
Prior to the season finale at Oklahoma State, the Sun Devils will shift focus to crosstown rival Grand Canyon in what is slated to be the final game of the season at Phoenix Municipal Stadium. The Sun Devils fell just short in the season's lone matchup, dropping a road contest 6-7 back on April 22 at GCU Ballpark.
ASU has gotten the best of GCU in the Phoenix Muni era, posting a 3-1 record dating back to 2021 as the team looks to defend home turf.
The Sun Devils will then make their way to Stillwater, Okla. to clash with the Cowboys in the final regular season series of 2025.
Oklahoma State has been much better at home, logging a 15-6 record at O'Brate Stadium, opposed to a 5-12 record away from home.
The all-time series is currently deadlocked at 17-17, with the upcoming series being the first matchup between the sides since 2023.
All games this week will be streamed on ESPN+. Tuesday and Saturday's radio broadcasts will be available over the local airwaves on KDUS AM 1060, where Thursday and Friday's games will be on KAZG 1440 AM.
