PHOENIX - Sun Devil Baseball will look to build off a historic power surge as the team welcomes Long Beach State for two midweek games before heading to the heart of Texas to take on Baylor over the weekend.

The Sun Devils are coming off a 3-1 week, which included a conference sweep of BYU where the team pushed across 36 runs over the three-game set. ASU now sits in third place in the Big 12, well within striking distance heading into the regular season home stretch.

On Saturday in the second inning, the Sun Devils homered a single-inning school record six times after already recording two in the first inning. That officially set a new program record of eight home runs in one game.

The 10-run frame saw something that might very likely never be seen again as Isaiah Jackson and Brody Briggs went back-to-back jacks TWICE in the same inning.
ASU's 15 home runs in the series (8 Saturday, 6 Friday and 1 Thursday) were a school record for a three-game series. ASU six homers Friday were tied for second-most in a game in school history prior to Saturday's onslaught.

Amidst the offensive chaos saw an incredible week from none other than shortstop Matt King. The senior was just named both the Big 12 Player of the Week and the Big 12 Newcomer of the Week.

King turned in a .625 batting average (10-16) with two home runs, 12 RBIs and five runs scored to bring his team leading batting average to .416 (64-154) on the season.

The Sun Devils will look to keep the momentum rolling, as home two games against Long Beach State are up next at Phoenix Municipal Stadium before a weekend in Waco.

The Dirtbags are coming off a 1-3 homestand, dropping a contest to USC and going 1-2 against CSUN. This will be the first matchup between the two sides since 2019, as ASU holds the all-time series advantage at 44-15.

The Sun Devils will then make their way to Waco, Texas where the Baylor Bears await in another crucial Big 12 series. Baylor posted a 1-2 record against TCU over the past weekend and will pay a midweek visit to Sam Houston State prior to welcoming in the Sun Devils.

ASU and Baylor have matched up just 13 times in history, where ASU leads the all-time series 8-5. It will be the first series matchup since 2014, where the Sun Devils took two of three in Tempe.

All games this week will be streamed on ESPN+. Radio broadcasts available over the local airwaves on KDUS AM 1060, with Friday afternoon's contest on KAZG AM 1440
