TEMPE– Sun Devil Lacrosse (6-2) wraps up its four-game home stretch on Saturday, March 15 with a matinee game against Furman (5-1) at 12 p.m. MST. The game will be streamed on ESPN+, as ASU looks to remain undefeated at home in 2025 and match a 2021's program-best 5-0 start at home.

Saturday will be the first meeting all-time between the two programs, and marks the third unfamiliar opponent ASU has faced this season. The Paladins join the Mercer Bears and Saint Joseph's Hawks in the first-time meetings this season.

Sun Devil Outlook:
The Sun Devils have won six of their first eight games, including all four of their first contests at home. Two Sun Devils sit atop NCAA leaderboards, as junior attacker Jordyn Behar leads the league in assists (30) and sophomore midfielder Anna Viglione has the most draw controls in the NCAA (83).

The Sun Devils have the reigning Big 12 Attacker of the Week after Jordyn Behar tallied  five goals and eight assists in two games last week, including a career-high four goals against Vanderbilt on Saturday.

The hot start has ASU leading the Big 12 Conference in a variety of categories: draw controls per game (18.00), save percentage (.481), scoring margin (3.25), and points per game (22.38). The team's draw control per game and points per game mark are Top-10 in the NCAA.

Scouting the Opponent:
Furman comes to Tempe with a 5-1 record in six games this season, with the one road loss coming in their last contest against UMBC on the road. Prior to the loss, Furman was averaging nearly 16 goals per game.

Despite the loss, Furman's Lily Toole was voted as the Big South Freshman of the Week after a 10-point week in the team's two games.

Sun Devil Notables:
  • Senior goalie Katie Vahle is 16 saves away from tying the program's all time record of 576 set by Berkeley Bonneau.
  • Junior attacker Teagan Ng is one point away from 100 in her career. She will be the eighth Sun Devil all-time to reach this feat.
  • Jordyn Behar is the reigning Big 12 Attacker of the Week after 13 points in two games, including a career-high four goals against Vanderbilt on Sunday.
  • Junior attacker Lydia Oldknow rides a 27-game point-scoring streak after three goals on Saturday. The streak dates back to the 2024 season opener.
  • ASU's 4 games over .500 is the best mark over .500 during head coach Taryn VanThof's tenure.
  • A win on Saturday would match a program-best 5-0 start at home, set in 2021.
  • ASU's 18.00 draw controls per game is the 5th best team mark in the NCAA. A large part of the draw is sophomore midfielder Anna Viglione, who leads the NCAA in draw controls with 83.
