TEMPE – Sun Devil softball dropped a pitchers duel with Utah 4-0 on Sunday afternoon in the finale of their three-game series at Farrington Stadium.
Deborah Jones held Utah (25-17, 7-11 Pac-12) hitless through four innings and didn't give up a run until the seventh. She finished with four strikeouts in six-plus innings.
Arizona State (18-21, 2-13 Pac-12) struggled at the plate as well, recording just three singles in the game. Alesia Denby reached twice with a single and a walk. Audrey LeClair and Kayla Lissy each singled and stole a base.
With an attendance of 1,371 on Sunday, ASU went over 800,000 fans attending Sun Devil games at Farrington Stadium since the facility opened in 2000.
ASU returns to action on Tuesday when they head across town to face Grand Canyon at 6 p.m.
