FEDERAL WAY, Wash.-  For the second year in a row, Lindsay Looney is the Pac-12 champion in the 500 free, winning the third conference championship of her career on Thursday evening at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center.

She won the event at 4:35.05, the fourth fastest time in program history. Teammate Deniz Ertan rounded out the top five, touching the wall at 4:39.16.

The Sun Devils have now won the 500 free in each of the last four Pac-12 Championships they've competed in.

After Looney won her third Pac-12 championship of her storied career, Ieva Maluka had a podium finish for the Sun Devils, swimming a third-place finish time of 1:54.43. Her time broke her own school record she set back in November at the midseason NC State Invite.

Also swimming the 200 IM was Charli Brown who took eighth in the A final with a 1:57.49 and Zoe Summar won the B final (1:58.13) and Emma Gehlert took second in the C final (1:58.70).
 
In the final individual event of the day, Erin Milligan took fifth for the Sun Devil women in the A final of the 50 free, swimming a 22.30. Her time enters the top-10 in school history.
 
The 200 free relay of Milligan-Maluka-Indigo Armon-Lindsay Looney turned in a fifth-place finish with a time of 1:29.58 for the fourth fastest time in program history.

DIVING
For the second consecutive day, senior Zachory Lundgren was the top finisher for the Sun Devils, taking 11th in the men's 1-meter with a score of 273.50. Thomas Wesche (14th), Lane Stallworth (15th) and Caleb Liban (18th) trailed Lundgren.
 
It was the first diving event for women's dive in the 3-meter as Kayden Hayes was the highest finisher for the Sun Devils, taking 21st.
 
 
MORNING PRELIMS
Lindsay Looney and Deniz Ertan were first and third, respectively, in the 500 free preliminaries to secure their spots in the A final. Molly Batchelor was ninth overall, Alexa Reyna was 16th and Sonia Vaishnani was 23rd.
 
Two more Sun Devils qualified for an A final as Ieva Maluka was third and Charli Brown was eighth in the 200 IM prelims. Zoe Summar qualified for the B final and Emma Gehlert qualified for the C final.
 
Erin Milligan took fifth in the morning prelims of the 50 free to be the fifth Sun Devil to qualify for an A final.
 
FRIDAY SCHEDULE
Friday is shaping up to be another busy day for the Sun Devils, consisting of two dive events and six swim races.
 
400 IM | 100 fly | 200 free | 100 breast | 100 back | 400 medley relay
 
Men's platform | Women's 3-meter
 
Preliminaries for swimming will begin at 11:30 a.m. MST, and finals are slated to begin at 7 p.m. MST.
 
The men's platform final will be held at 5:35 p.m. MST and the women's 3-meter is scheduled for the 30 minute break between the individuals swimming events and the 400 medley relay.
