TEMPE, Ariz.- Both diving programs, led by third-year head coach Marc Briggs, will compete at the 10-team Air Force Diving Invitational, Thursday through Saturday (Feb. 1-3) at the Cadet Natatorium.
Divers from Arizona State, Air Force, BYU, California Baptist, Colorado Mesa, Colorado State, Denver, Northern Colorado, Utah and Wyoming will compete in all three specialties. Live results will be available at DiveMeets.com and a live stream will be available on Air Force's YouTube, @AF_Falcons.
Action begins Thursday with men's 3-meter and women's 1-meter preliminaries at 10:30 a.m. AZT with finals starting at 1:00 p.m. Friday features the women's 3-meter and men's 1-meter with the prelim and finals times the same a Thursday. The invite will conclude with the women's platform preliminaries at 10 a.m. with finals at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday and men's platform preliminaries at 2 p.m. and the finals at 3:30 p.m.
Both dive programs are coming off competition in conference meets at No. 5/4 Stanford and No. 2/5 California. Sophomore Lane Stallworth had a pair of third-place finishes at Stanford, a little under two weeks after having a zone qualifying score of 354.68 in the meet with GCU on January 6. Freshman Kayden Hayes won both boards against GCU and had second-place finishes on the 1-meter and 3-meter in the Stanford and Cal meets.
