STANFORD, Calif. -- Sun Devil Lacrosse (2-6 ,1-2 Pac-12) is back on the road for pair of conference games in the Bay Area, facing Stanford and California in the Golden State. It will be a rematch of the 2022 Pac-12 Lacrosse Championships as Arizona State heads to Stanford (4-5, 2-1 Pac-12) on Friday, March 31, with the first draw at 4 p.m. MST broadcasted on Stanford Live Stream. The Sun Devils will head across the Bay as they look to extend their seven-game win streak against Cal (3-6, 1-2 Pac-12) on Sunday at noon MST on Cal Live Stream-3.

LAST TIME OUT
The Sun Devils hosted their first two conference games of the season last weekend in Tempe, beating the Oregon Ducks 12-9. Goal tender Katie Vahle had 14 saves, the most in a victory for the Sun Devils this season and she reached 200 career saves against the Ducks. They dropped their second matchup with Colorado 13-17. 
Kaylon Buckner set her career high in goals with six against the Buffaloes to total 10 in net on the weekend. The Sun Devils had 27 draw controls to Colorado. Bella Ingrao continued to shine in her sophomore season, extending her career high in goals (7). NOTABLES
  • Buckner leads the Sun Devils in goals (23), points (26), free position goals (8), shots on goal (38), free position shots (12) and ground balls (16).  Buckner is on a eight-game goal and two-game assist streak. Buckner won Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week (3/28) after her weekend against Oregon and Colorado, her first career honor.
  • Kaylon Buckner, Mina Scott, Teagan Ng, Kaitlyn Skamas, Bella Gaspar, Colleen Ryan, Zoe Mazur and Gigi Gaspar have all played and started in the eight games this season.
  • Scott is one goal short of tying her single season career high in goals (14). Scott is on a five-game goal streak. 
  • 15 different Sun Devils have scored this season with Kaylon Buckner (23), Mina Scott (13) and Teagan Ng (12) leading the pack.
  • Year of First Goals - Keeley Cleland, Jordyn Behar, Alexa Ford, Kaitlyn Skamas, Tate Stokesberry, Annie Haley, McKenna Riley, Ng, Lydia Oldknow and Berit Brookfield have all seen the back of the net for the first time as a Sun Devil.
  • Helen Park leads defensemen in ground balls (14), ahead of goal tender Katie Vahle (13), Gigi and Bella Gaspar (7), Colleen Ryan (6) and Kaitlyn Skams (6). Park is on an eight-game ground ball and two-game caused turnover streak.
  • Teagan Ng leads all freshmen in goals (12) and has 14 points on the season.
  • Zoe Mazur is first in draw controls (40).
  • Teagan Ng is on a four-game goal streak.
  • Freshman Jordyn Behar's lone goal this season came against No. 7 Florida.
  • Katie Vahle saved 16 shots against Penn State (02/24/23) for her new career high in saves. Vahle reached 200 career saves against Oregon (3/24) where she had 14 saves.
  • Bella Ingrao is on a three-game point streak.
  • Bella Gaspar is on a two-game caused turnover streak.
  • As a team, ASU has not given up any woman-down goals and have scored seven woman-up goals.
  • The Sun Devils have outscored their opponents in free position shots, 19-13.
  • ASU has a 94.3% clear percentage rate unlike its opponents, 91.6%. 
OPPONENT OUTLOOK
Stanford (RV)
The Cardinal haven't won or lost consecutive games this season, finding themselves the same record as the Sun Devil against similar opponents, beating Oregon and losing to Colorado and No. 19 Jacksonville. Sophomore Annabel Frist leads Stanford in goals with 29. The Sun Devils are trying to turn their luck against the Cardinal as they are 1-10 since 2018.


California 
The Golden Bears are in the first season with a new head coach, Jennifer Wong. California has picked up wins against Lindenwood, Howard and Oregon. Maya Lawliss has a .500 shot percentage, good for a team high 20 goals. Since the start of the program, the Sun Devils are 8-4 against the Golden Bears. Last season alone ASU defeated Cal three times and outscored them 56-36.
