TEMPE -- Sun Devil Hockey continues to climb in the polls after collecting its second straight sweep at home this past weekend against Northern Michigan. USCHO.com Poll voters placed ASU at No. 13, five spots higher than last week when they were No. 18.
The highest ranking earned by ASU in the USCHO.com Poll was No. 9 on Feb. 17, 2020.
Five Sun Devils got their first goals of the season this past weekend including: Kyle Smolen, Tyler Gratton, Dylan Jackson, Charlie Schoen, and Benji Eckerle.
Matthew Kopperud set a new school record with 26 power play goals this weekend in game two of the series. He surpassed Johnny Walker's previous record of 25 to be the new power play king.
The team moves to 4-0-0, furthering the program's best start in its history. With a future conference opponent this weekend, Arizona State looks to keep the streak alive against Miami (Ohio).
