TEMPE – Sun Devil Soccer (6-2-4) returns home to Sun Devil Soccer Stadium for a pair of matches versus Washington (5-4-2) on Thursday, October 5 at 7 p.m. MST and Washington State (7-4) on Sunday, October 8 at 12 p.m. MST. Thursday's match will be broadcasted on Pac-12 Insider while Sunday's match will be on Pac-12 Arizona.

The Sun Devils return home after a stretch of road matches where they fell 2-1 to No. 3 Stanford and tied 1-1 at California. Thursday's result saw an early goal by Stanford but in the 53rd minute, Arizona State forward Suzuka Yosue passed the ball to forward Florence Vaillancourt who took a touch past three Cardinal defenders and fired her shot to the top right corner of the net for the equalizer. The match held even until the 82nd minute when the home team found the game winning goal. In Sunday's draw with the Golden Bears, Enasia Colon scored her team-leading seventh goal in just the eight minute of the match from a bending shot taken outside of the box but ASU was unable to preserve the lead as Cal tied the match in the 41st minute.

Forward Suzuka Yosue (5) currently leads the Pac-12 in assists this season while Colon is tied for second place with her seven goals. Goalkeeper Pauline Nelles is featured in every one of the goalkeeping leaderboards where she is second in save percentage (.878) and goals-against average (0.50), and fifth with 43 saves and six goals against.

Both Washington and Washington State are coming off back-to-back losses to UCLA and USC this last weekend. Despite the loss, Washington faced off against UCLA in a high scoring game of 3-2 where both of the Huskies' goals came from penalty kicks. The USC Trojans however defeated the Huskies 3-0 in their following match. In Washington State's match versus the Trojans, Margie Detrizio opened the scoring in the 27th minute but the Cougars only held onto the lead until the 62nd minute when USC equalized and then stole the lead in the 78th minute. The Cougars' following game ended in a 2-0 shutout by the UCLA Bruins.

Washington owns an 11-9-6 overall record in the all-time series with the Sun Devils while ASU last won in the 2018 season in Tempe. The Sun devils own the series with Washington State though, holding a 14-10-3 series record with an unbeaten record (2-0-2) in the last four matches.

The Sun Devils return home unbeaten in their last seven (4-0-3) in Tempe dating back to the end of the 2022 season. They have won two straight home contests and outscored the opposition 10-1 in games matches this season.

ASU has controlled the action in the second half of games this season, outscoring the opposition 14-3 in the final 45 minutes. The Sun Devils are 3-0-1 when leading at halftime and 5-0 when leading at the 75 minute mark.
