TEMPE – It's rivalry week for No. 24 Sun Devil Gymnastics as they host the Arizona Wildcats on Saturday at 5 p.m. MST in Desert Financial Arena, going for a seventh-straight dual meet win over the Cats.
Rivalry Meet
Arizona State (3-3, 0-1 Pac-12) is looking to extend its dual meet win streak against in-state rival Arizona (4-3, 0-1 Pac-12) to seven in a row and get the seventh-straight Territorial Cup point in a row. Head coach Jay Santos has yet to lose a head-to-head meet against the Cats.
The average team score point differential is 0.863 in the win streak, with four of the six wins seeing the Gym Devils take first by less than a point. In 2022, the rivalry meet came down to the wire as ASU beat Arizona 196.600 to 196.400 in Tucson. The beam lineup came through for the Sun Devils, who had a slight lead prior to the final rotation that they battled to maintain.

This meet is the Gold Game, Alumni Day and the Title IX celebration. Fans are encouraged to wear gold. Alumni at the meet will also be recognized.
Sun Devil Hockey will also have a game Saturday night at Mullett Arena, so fans may expect traffic. For parking, please enter lot 59 on the far north side of the football stadium. Take Rio Salado West off of Scottsdale/Rural road and turn left onto Marina Heights. Follow the lot down to Desert Financial Arena and park in lot 59. Please do not park anywhere on the east side of Packard drive or in any of the structures.

Sun Devil Update
No. 24 Arizona State (3-3, 0-1 Pac-12)
- The Gym Devils have scored over a 196.000 in each of the last two meets. In the Pac-12 opener last weekend against No. 19 Stanford, ASU came in second place with a 196.050.
- Junior Emily White has been a strong presence in the all-around this season. She has yet to score below a 9.800 on any event. Her best score is a 9.900 on beam. Additionally, she has three event titles so far this year.
- Against Stanford, juniors Sarah Clark and Jada Mangahas won event titles. Clark won on bars with a 9.875, while Mangahas took the floor title, also with a 9.875.
- Bars continued to be a bright spot for the Gym Devils as they scored a 49.200 against Stanford on Friday, the 11th straight meet reaching 49-plus, dating back to last season.
Arizona (4-3, 0-1 Pac-12)
- The Wildcats came close to upsetting the Cal Bears in Tucson last weekend, scoring a 196.100 to Cal's 196.400.
- Last season, Arizona made it to NCAA Regional Semifinal in Norman, Oklahoma, where they finished third with a 196.800, which was the highest score at a regional in history for the Wildcats. Arizona finished the season last year ranked No. 28 on Road to Nationals.
- Currently, the Wildcats are ranked No. 28 as a team on Road to Nationals. On beam, they are ranked No. 12.
