TEMPE, Ariz- The Sun Devils start their 2023-2024 season this weekend with a pair of meets with the Georgia Bulldogs at Mona Plummer Aquatic Center.

The two meets will be the first of eight home meets for Arizona State this season. Friday's meet will begin at 2 p.m. and Saturday's meet will begin at 9 a.m.
 
Bob Bowman, who was this year's Frank Kush Award winner, enters his eighth season as head swim coach with Arizona State. With a heavy set of returners, the Sun Devils are set to dominate the pool. Many swimmers from last season return like Lindsay Looney, who became the fourth Women's swimmer in the Bob Bowman era to win an individual Pac-12 Championship. The Sun Devils welcome 18 new swimmers to the squad with 10 on the women's team and eight on the men's team along with three new additions to the dive team. During the Pac-12 Championship, the Sun Devil Men won nine times, broke eight program records and did not let go of their possession of first place once.The Sun Devil Men were national runners-up for the best finish in program history. The Sun Devils have a total of 11 swimmers (seven pros and four student-athletes) that have been named to the U.S. National Team roster for 2023-24. Of the 15 All-Americans from last season, 13 will return this season. 
 
The Sun Devils traveled to Athens last season for a tri meet with the Bulldogs and Missouri. At NCAA's, the Bulldog men were 12th and the women were 16th. The Bulldogs' coaching staff was expanded in the offseason with longtime assistant Jerry Champer returning to the women's staff after serving one season as the Director of Operations for the men's and women's swim and dive teams along with Nate Rhoads, volunteer coach, was elevated to the men's staff. The Georgia women finished sixth at the SEC Championships, while the Bulldog men placed fifth at the events.
