TEMPE - GOLF Channel released their preseason accolades ahead of the 2023-24 collegiate women's golf season and Sun Devil Women's Golf is heavily featured.

Missy Farr-Kaye's squad is receiving plenty of national buzz with the season just around the corner. GOLF Channel's annual Women's College Golf preview had high praise for the Sun Devils.

PRESEASON RANKINGS
Arizona State is ranked No. 8 nationally in the preseason according to GOLF Channel. They are one of four Pac-12 teams in the Top-10, including No. 1 Stanford and No. 2 USC. GOLF Channel recognizes the balance of the ASU lineup, with the squad featuring six strong options for the lineup each week.

GOLF Channel is not the only publication with optimistic expectations for the Sun Devils. Golfweek came out with their annual preseason poll and ASU is listed at No. 12, one of five Pac-12 teams in the Top-20. Arizona State will start the season as a consensus Top-15 team, with the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) putting the Maroon & Gold at No. 14 in their initial rankings. All three major polls agree that the Sun Devils will begin the season as one of the nation's best teams.

PLAYER TO WATCH
Not only was Arizona State recognized as a team by GOLF Channel, a local Sun Devil also earned some preseason love. Senior Ashley Menne was one of 35 golfers in the country tabbed as a Player to Watch in the preseason by GOLF Channel. She is considered one of the sport's top returners, with a chance to become a four-time All-American.

SUPER SIX
Arizona State will have the luxury of having six returners on the roster, one of the highest totals in recent memory of the program. A young team finished No. 14 in the nation last season and has even higher goals this year. Senior Ashley Menne leads the way, coming back to Tempe after another All-American season. Juniors Grace Summerhays and Calynne Rosholt each have already earned First Team Pac-12 All-Conference honors in their careers. Sophomores Beth Coulter and Paula Schulz-Hanssen are looking to build off of excellent debut seasons in the Maroon & Gold. Redshirt freshman Patience Rhodes enjoyed a successful summer and is expected to be a factor in qualifying.
