PHOENIX – Position Sports, in association with the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, today announced the Sun Devil women's basketball team will face Fresno State – one of four games, including one featuring the Sun Devil MBB team – as part of Jerry Colangelo's 2023 Hall of Fame Series Phoenix, scheduled to be played Wed., Dec. 20 at Footprint Center in downtown Phoenix.
The highly anticipated event will mark the first time both the men's and women's teams from Arizona State and Arizona will play in the same location on the same day.
"We are extremely excited to be playing in Jerry Colangelo's Hall of Fame Series here in our backyard, Phoenix," ASU head coach Natasha Adair said. "We can't wait to have our fans cheering us on in the Footprint Center when we take on Fresno State. It will be a phenomenal experience for both programs to be playing in such a prestigious event. This will be another great opportunity for our program to prepare for Pac-12 play."
Jerry Colangelo's Hall of Fame Series Phoenix, which will feature two separate sessions, includes the following matchups:
Session 1
Sun Devil WBB vs. Fresno State (W)
Arizona vs. Gonzaga (W)
Session 2
Sun Devil MBB vs. Northwestern (M)
Arizona vs. Alabama (M)
Tickets are scheduled to go on sale in July. On-sale date, game times, fan experience information, credentials, and television broadcast details will be released at a later date.
With today's news, the Sun Devils have now announced four of the opponents they will face as part of their 2023-24 non-conference slate. Last week, ASU found out it will spend Thanksgiving weekend in the U.S. Virgin Islands where it will play three games in three days at the 2023 Paradise Jam.
