TEMPE, Ariz. – Basketball Travelers today announced the Sun Devil women's basketball team will be one of eight teams participating in the 2023 U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam women's basketball tournament taking place Thanksgiving weekend (Nov. 23-25) at the University of Virgin Islands Sports and Fitness Complex in St. Thomas.
 
The Sun Devils will play three games – all three contests against squads that qualified for postseason play last season – in three days beginning with a Turkey Day matchup against 2023 NCAA Tournament participant Texas. ASU will play its second straight game against another 2023 NCAA Tournament team when it faces USF on Friday (Nov. 24). The Sun Devils will close out play at the Paradise Jam they take on 2023 WNIT participant High Point (Nov. 25).
 
Below are all the women's teams participating in the 24th edition of the Paradise Jam's women's tournament. Each 'tournament' will be played in a round-robin format.

Friday, November 24
Game 1: Kentucky vs. Colorado – 2 p.m. AST
Game 2: Cincinnati vs. N.C. State – 4:15 p.m. AST
Game 3: Arizona State vs. South Florida – 6:45 p.m. AST
Game 4: High Point vs. Texas – 9 p.m. AST
 
Saturday, November 25
Game 1: Colorado vs. N.C. State – 2 p.m. AST
Game 2: Cincinnati vs. Kentucky – 4:15 p.m. AST
Game 3: High Point vs. Arizona State – 6:45 p.m. AST
Game 4: South Florida vs. Texas – 9 p.m. AST

ASU will be looking for its first win over the Longhorns in the sixth ever matchup between the two schools. The most recent meeting took place at the 2018 NCAA Tournament (second round) in Austin. The Sun Devils won their only previous contest vs. USF, 74-39, in 2000 in Tempe. This will be the first meeting between ASU and High Point.

The Sun Devils, who will be led by second-year head coach Natasha Adair, will announce additional information about their 2023 non-conference schedule throughout this summer.
