TEMPE – Sun Devil Softball has added Audrey LeClair as a grad transfer from Michigan, head coach Megan Bartlett announced on Wednesday.
"We are thrilled to welcome Audrey home," Bartlett shared. "Audrey is a versatile athlete with an infectious personality. She is competitive and high-energy, and she is going to make us better on the field and in the clubhouse."
LeClair appeared in 140 games between third base and the outfield for the Wolverines, where she hit .288 with 11 doubles, four triples, and four home runs. She was a 2022 All-Big Ten second team selection after hitting .323 with 40 hits and 28 runs scored. This past season, LeClair tallied 34 hits and a .262 batting average. Her season included seven multi-hit and three multi-RBI games.
A Phoenix native, LeClair graduated from Phoenix Country Day School, where she was named the 2019 AZCentral Female Athlete of the Year. A MaxPreps All-America First Team selection as a senior, she posted a .737 career batting average with 26 home runs, a .796 on-base percentage, 2.306 OPS and 135 stolen bases.
LeClair also participated in basketball and track and field in high school. She averaged 12.3 points per game over her final two basketball seasons while winning Arizona state titles in the long jump and high jump as a senior.
With the addition of LeClair, ASU has signed five newcomers – two transfers and three freshmen – to the 2023-24 roster. They will also welcome back Pac-12 home run leader Jordyn VanHook for her final season.
